Will the Democratic and Republican conventions both flop?
Let's answer with a question. If the final winner of American Idol were announced two weeks before the final program, would the final program be a flop? Yes? There's your answer.
Few people will watch the Republican convention where the nominee--John McCain--will be inducted after having been rejected by about two thirds of the voters in the Republican Primaries. The only suspense--or point of dramatic interes, from an entertainment prspective--will be the announcement of his running mate. I guess they will save it till last.
As for the Dems in Denver, the legions of Obama gullibles will watch enthusiastically, as will those who at least think they can't wait until the Bush regime ends. But since the general public rightly thinks we were left with the least desirable candidates, here listed in alphabetical order--Clinton, McCain, and Obama--I don't think there will be much interest there either. Unless, no one arrives with enough delegates to be nominated.
The half-time shows at both conventions will probably be the best part.

It could be an opportunity for a great show
If the 'brokered' convention was handled correctly it could be a great opportunity for fantastic ratings as people watch to see what will happen and who will win. It would certainly be more entertaining than the super scripted and dull things the conventions have turned into.

Media
The media and press are responsible for what we are reading. They did create a myth around Sen. Obama just based on his oratory skills and maybe a need to be progressive. There is no journalistic integrity, just bias and pundits. No way Sen. Obama would be in this position on his own if not for the Press and Media's adoration. It won't help him if people believe he is the Savior or Messiah either. He'll have to live up to impossible expectations...and he is far from a perfect man. He has major issues with Americans in general. Too much time around Rev. Wright and his wife left him believing stereotypes where the gospel. I mean it's so blantant the bias from the press, especially on NBC and MSNBC. They have morphed into Fox News, who actually have been more fair and balanced as a result.
But they want drama and tabloid journalism as if this were some reality show. Sad.

Take away COLOR and GENDER
To those of you who cannot defend Master Obama without crying racism whenever anyone questions his ability to win and/or lead, how about this proposition: Take away color and gender from Obama and Clinton, and then tell me who will win this contest.
One one side, we have a plebian senator with little to no experience, connection with Rezko, connection with terrorists, connection with (now mind you, he is WHITE in this scenario) anti-American anti-Hispanic anti-Italian anti-White church, his wife does NOT like America and white Americans, his voting record is spotty, he appears to have troubles verbalizing when challenged in any way, and a book he wrote is mostly fabricated. His entire platform is one of fluff and slogans, and he has insulted older women (especially white women), Americans facing financial woes, and blue-collar workers. He just outspent the other candidate 3 to 1, but still lost and has yet to win a key state.
On the other side, we have a candidate that brings 35 years of experience to the table (in this scenario, she is a he and he was married to a female American president), he has worked for 30 years to assist middle class Americans, met with over 80 world leaders over this time period, can handle himself well under stress, has a fully outlined and detailed plan to get this country back on track, is not perfect--but who is--and his imperfections have already been tried in the media and we have moved beyond them, the last 6 years has been a highly successful senator and was re-elected by an almost 70% mandate by the state of New York AND has gotten rave reviews from both REPUBLICANS and Democrats alike about how great he is to work with in the Senate. He has won ALL of the key states, including the last one.
Both candidates are white men remember. Who would YOU choose to nominate assuming you want to win? And if you say the first one you win the DUMBEST award.....
If Color and Gender don't matter, and you are voting for the best candidate, Hillary Clinton is the ONLY CHOICE if you are DEMOCRAT.

@ProudTexasGirl
There are two types of Democrats. Those who support war with Iran and those who don't.
We know Hillary is in the second camp. Which camp are you in?

What the media giveth, the media taketh away.
Yes, the positive media story line has changed somewhat from outright support and adoration of Barack Obama, the youthful looking, somewhat cocky and highly intelligent African American Senator, the "new guy on the block," the "Wunderkind", the inspirational phenomena, the "hope selling political redeemer", the ever expounding representative of non specific rhetoric , the good friend to all (no matter what your background or political stance), the "Un-Clinton" and above all, the probable loser in a general election.... To, the middle aged, already "around the block", fully vetted, "tough as nails," disliked by many, distrusted by even more, "old reliable", "sharp as a tack", detail overloaded, she of the 90's - Hillary Clinton. It took forever and a day, but sensing the probable ruination of their once revered darling candidate, these vultures of the 4th Estate stubbornly gravitate to the only viable alternative to four more years of Republican devastation and ruination of our country.
The choice has never been more clear!

Can't spin this girl
Hillary is smart and caring. War is the last choice, and she has said this many times. Don't talk spin with me, only real words spoken freely. The media takes every syllable and deconstructs and then recontructs to fit their agenda, and I am aware of this and thus don't play that game.
Hillary Clinton cares about America, Americans, and the world population. That being said, if any country posed a threat to our country and no option remained other than war then--just like any other pro-American President--she would go to war. Hopefully, she will not have to choose the last place option.
