Hahahaha
Please keep grasping at moral victories...lol, ya she only had single digit win...Ya, all the folks that voted for her are old uneducated hicks..Ya, well it doesn't matter that Obama can't win a major state in his own parties primaries...
Obamatrons unite...Who cares if Hilary only won by 10 % or 9 % or whatever...The Dems will find a way to allocate more Delegates for Obama anyway...I'm sure they decided to give Philly a 2 to 1 proportional delegate to "even the playing field"...

@sawatdee
Don't you see that the only sure way to win an election is to maintain and grow your base? For some reason, you think that's white, uneduated people. That's not true for the Democratic Party. It hasn't been for a long time. These are the same people who voted for Bush, Bush and Reagan. The only reason some of these people voted for Hillary is that they are now truly desperate and need someone to bail them out. Will they be with her in November? Don't bank on it. McCain can still win these people. They actually like this guy.
The Democratic Party has for too long tried to play with Republican rules, a loser of a game. Obama has done the smart thing by pulling in so many voters who are 1) committed to progressive ideas 2) new voters and 3) young voters. In a state like PA, this is a hard sell and Obama did very well with the demographics he has. He doesn't need them i a GE tohugh. He can win without them.
Hillary, OTOH, played right into all the old stereotypes and fear-mongering that has worked well for Republicans against Dems. Great job Hillary. Now how many progressive Dems and new voters will vote for you in November? That's the problem. You turn off your most reliable voters you get left with a loser of a GE strategy. I think the Clinton camp believes that people will just turn to her because they have nothing else left. What a great way to boost a Nader candidacy.

What a difference...
...a word makes.
"Obama CAN'T close the deal" implies he's unable to finish, impotent, a fumbler. The logical extension is he CAN'T win in November.
"Obama COULDN'T close the deal" is an actual NEWS headline summarizing what happened. He lost. The election isn't over, though.
Our word choice is more revealing than we like, sometimes. Salon, what will you do if Obama wins? Tell us how many ways he can lose against McCain? Stop the unconscious spin. Do your journalist jobs. PLEASE. Everyone's future depends on it.

And yet I leave a winner!!!!
Because Hillary cannot win. But this is all about your ego and vanity, since a win has been impossible for weeks now. So you are getting what you want.
Here is the updated math...
CLINTON NEEDS 63% OF REMAINING PLEDGED DELEGATES.
I also leave because I am bored, no one on the Clinton side can make a compelling argument or poke any holes in mine. But since Hill's supporters are 70 year old widowers with no jobs that is to be expected. Perhaps I should stop abusing the elderly like this?
Ogod, I ask you again - how does she win? If you can do so before the cancellation goes through I'll respond. But you won't come up with anything, you'll run and hide and spew talking points on another thread. And that is why you are a fraud. If you cannot state your case, and are just here to spew talking points off the Clinton website, then why should anyone respect you?
Go bang the table! And maybe throw Hillary some petty cash. She's broke. And NC is very expensive to buy. You'll look back on the days of being outspent 2:1 as a golden age!

I know it has been said already...
Certainly, despite a six-day bus tour through blue-collar Pennsylvania, there was little in the returns to suggest that the first-term Illinois senator has expanded his coalition beyond those initially attracted to his inspirational candidacy.
Little in returns to suggest an expansion of Obama's coalition? You must be kidding, Shapiro. Obama trailed Clinton in almost every poll from Pennsylvania since the beginning of this contest.
RealClearPolitics (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/pa/pennsylvania_democratic_primary-240.html) shows the trend since Feburary--a trend that shows, after an initial spike for HRC, a continuous "expansion of [Obama's] coalition" and a dwindling of Clinton's support.
American Research Group even had Clinton up by 16 points this week (http://americanresearchgroup.com/).
It should come to no surprise to anyone that Clinton beat Obama in Pennsylvania. However, the victory wasn't enough to dent Obama's overall lead.

Obama Can't Close A Sale
It's obvious where this is headed. One more resounding thud in the general. Hillary is the only one that can win.

Obama's Speech Last Night
Was worn out and tired, and there's 7 months to go. He's peaked.

HP
Please explain how losing "all" major states in your own primary doesn't mean crap in the general election...You can shove all the tiny states right up your arse cuz they amount to diddly when the rubber hits the road...Btw, I love your cut'n run strategy...Fits right in with the rest of the Obamabots...Leave the discussion to the big kids who can handle adversity without whining like 4 year old who dropped his ice cream...Tata wimpy...

President McCain. Get used to it.
The arguement has become silly. Neither Obama nor Clinton could beat McCain at this point. The Democrats have gone from a no-brainer win to certain defeat. The Republicans would never have been stupid enough to allow this circus to have taken place. And not just the party insiders. Republican voters know how to win. At this point I have a sickening feeling many Democratic voters are being propelled by the attention. The party and its supporters should have rallied behind a candidate early. There is absolutely no good that can come from this. Both candidates will be fatally wounded by the time this wraps up...and let's face it both would have to be at their strongest to fend off the Republican assault. Weakened, with a fractured party behind the, neither has much hope in the fall. Clinton is dragging a Jacob Marley chain of negatives, scandals and issues that make the Republicans cum in their pants. Obama has a big problem with dodgy past associations that make him a big target (rule one: if you have serious political ambitions be very careful who you play with).
The voters they're fighting over (blue collar whites) will flock to John McCain in the fall no matter whick one ends up the nominee. What we're seeing now is just theater.
