You ain't kidding, Droogoy. But that's not the only thing that's whacked. What's whacked is a party that, if it had the good sense just to nominate someone like John Edwards or Al Gore, would win in November with resounding margins in both Houses, but instead decides to back a pair of horribly flawed "historical" possibilities.

I really do not give a whit who becomes the democratic nominee. I am one of the voters who would have preferred edwards or kucinich. Yeah, I would really like to have a candidate who stood firmly on the peoples and planets side. And considering that both Clinton and Obama are supporters of "clean coal" that's a oxymoron if there ever was one, I will grit my teeth and support who ever the dem nominee happens to be. I just hope that the one lesson we can learn from the republicans is to stand together and support unequivocally our democratic nominee and vote together to end the disaster that the republicans have brought to our nation and world.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that if you call a black man from a fairly tumultuous, and not particularly well bred background "elitist," you are using that word because you don't want to be accused of using the word "uppity,," but "uppity" is what you mean, and "uppity" is what you hope other people will think. I don't have to mention what word generally follows "uppity."

Obama is closing the deal, it's just not a "slam"
Hillary Clinton edged forward by 9 delegates when she's 130 delegates behind. That's not a win, that a prolonging of the inevitable. Obama's deal is already closed. At this point it's just Hillary's power fantasy.
