DO the MATH!
After Pennsylvania, Obama has at least 159 lead in elected delegates earned through all of the primaries and caucuses so far; and at least 1493 pledged delegates.
Oabma has cut cutting Senator Clinton's lead from more than 100 early this year to less than 25. Obama now has a total of 238 publicly committed super delegates.
The total number of delegates needed to secure the nomination is 2,024. That means Obama is only 293 delegates away from securing the nomination.
There are 408 pledged delegates left to get in the remaining state elections. I expect him to gt a minimum of 229 pledged delegates out of the next states maybe more. That means he only needs 64 of the remaining Super delegates to get the nomination.

What Pennsylvania has taught us
is that Obama is unable to make inroads into the white, under-educated, racist white yobo voting block that ends up voting for the Republican presidential nominee every 4 years at a larger than 2 to 1 ratio. Boo-Hoo! If Obama maintains the black voting percentage, maintains the traditional Jewish vote for a Democratic candidate, gets the vote of educated young women, gets half of the independents and the new young vote, all very doable and very likely, McCain cannot win and Obama will be the next president. Yesterday's primary doesn't really mean anything, because there was never any possibility of Obama getting the white ignorant racist vote that's going to go for McCain anyway.

What a bunch of crybabies...
Look, I like Mr. Obama just fine, and would be happy to vote for him come November. Can't say the same for his rabid supporters on this forum however, who vociferously cry "foul" every time Salon refuses to call the race and anoint him, already.
Folks, the reason the headlines say "Obama can't close the deal" here and elsewhere is because he--not Clinton--was in a position to do it! That's the story here--it would make absolutely no sense to say instead, or add "Clinton can't close deal either". There's no inherent unfairness in this.
And could you please clue into the fact that the whole business of nominating the best candidate might just be a little more complex than "I've got more states than you do" (as is, I might add, the process of electing the President). It seems, for most of you, your notion that Obama is so far ahead that he deserves peremptorily to be called the winner is based on oversimplifications by the same media you continually accuse of Clinton bias.

Another Media Obamaite
It would be nice to know the average IQ of media persons. Maybe that would explain their fascination with Obama. This is just another Obamaworshiper piece. Hope you can all stand the letdown when McCain becomes our next president.

Hillary Is Not Using Scorched Earth Tactics
People do not think for themselves.
Please give evidence of scorched earth tacics.
The reality is that Barack has said many horrible things about Hillary that she would never ever say about him because they are so low.
He said: "She will say anything and change nothing." "She will say or do anything to win."
"I have to say Senator Clinton looked in her element,” Obama said. “She was taking every opportunity to get a dig in there. That’s alright. That’s her right. That’s her right to kind of twist the knife a little bit.”
She has never attacked him personally, she has only brought up legitimate issues of who is truly most knowledgable and qualified at this time, given the way and issues Republicans will attack on most.
His campaign have actually been the ones who have been doing all the negative things they say she's doing, from the start.
His campaign is actually not the more positive campaign, if you look at all the "attacks" from the start. Most all the negativity has been created by the remarks of his campain.
It would be a great service to this country if people spent more time looking at the whole picture, determining what's most important, and not just believing what you hear, or making decisions based on emotions.
*Have a good afternoon!*

Why Hillary lost last night
Nobel economist Joseph Stiglitz estimates the full cost of the invasion and attempted occupation of Iraq to be between $3 trillion and $5 trillion. The dollar price of oil and gasoline have tripled, and the dollar has lost value against other currencies, declining dramatically even against the lowly Thai baht. Before Bush launched his wars of aggression, with the willing and enthusiastic help of Sen. Clinton, one US dollar was worth 45 baht. Today the dollar is only worth 30 baht.
The US cannot afford these costs. Prior to his resignation last month, US Comptroller General David Walker reported that the accumulated unfunded liabilities of the US government total $53 trillion dollars. The US government cannot cover these liabilities. The Bush Regime even has to borrow the money from foreigners to pay for its wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. There is no more certain way to bankrupt the country and dethrone the dollar as world reserve currency.
The demographic block that gave Clinton her 9% margin of "victory" is going to vote by a large margin for McCain, who will continue the same kamikaze policy that has brought us these catastrophes. Most of her "wins" have been achieved through the support of this block of ignorant racist and clueless voters. They mean nothing and she is finished.

To Alecs Mom
Apparently you are like your candidate--arrogant. Not all Hillary supporters are unintelligent racist white persons. Although the media likes to portray us as such, some of us are college educated and have supported equal rights for all. I wonder if you are one of the persons who would not support the ERA. We are not voting for an arrogant person who believes that because of past transgressions that this country owes it to a black man to be president. I have read his books and athough you may get a different meaning that I, he is a black against white racist (there are such persons)who says he is against this government but still wants to be the president. He who talks out of both sides of his mouth. He who claims to be a uniter but cannot unite his own party. We are not all stupid.
