  • On Rounding

KStone wrote: "Stop whining about rounding...

If some of you all are so concerned, the let's go back and review all the results to make sure they were rounded properly, ok?"

I'm one of the ones "whining about rounding." Claiming, or being awarded a double digit win by the MSM does have psychological implications. If rounding is appropriate, OK, let's round it to 9, not 10, OK? Is that so wrong?

  • In November

And you can rest assured that most of the uneducated whites who gave Clinton her margin of "victory", are going to vote for McCain in November.

    Why I can't back Obama

Why haven't I moved over to Obama's side? It's simple. I have no idea what he represents aside from "Change". It's a default position when you have a lot to whine about with no proposal on what you intend to do about it. I don't bother to complain about what's going on at my job or in my personal life unless I have a specific strategy to solve the problem because that will just make me a whiner. I see Obama as a whiner.

I'm much less supportive of Clinton than I was at the beginning of her campaign. She's made far too many mistakes. That does nothing to improve Obama's position, in my mind. He remains where he was before. Wanting a "change" from a Bush-Clinton-Bush may make sense but at least I know that I preferred the Clinton phase of that sequence and I know what Clinton's positions are on many of the issues that concern me and how she plans to address them. I see the platform of "change" as a faith based campaign, without the god. I'm supposed to assume that whatever changes are made will be good without knowing what, specifically, those changes are and how Obama thinks he'll manage to get those changes through the political process. Sorry, but that's too much of a risk for me. Without knowing what those changes are and being able to consider the likelihood that those changes will actually make it through, I'm not willing to rely on a hopes and dreams based plan. Unless and until Obama starts focusing on concrete policies and detailed plans, my attitude wont "change".

Stacy, his plans for fixing the disaster that Bush will leave the next president are on his website (www.barackobama.com). Many people on this site and elsewhere have made the same "where's the beef" point that you do. He does have some ideas regarding policy, not just vague platitudes.

  • Sad, but true

The white Cathoic voters in the middlie of the state vote on abortion. And we don't have an anti-choice candidate to run.

  • Top 10 Obama Supporter's Whines

    1) "She better not steal the election!" Wahhhh!

    2) "Hillary is a bitch!" BooHoooo!

    3) "Boomers jus' bettah move outtah the way for us Obama backers!" Snivel!

    4) "Their TV ads are jus' nasty; Obama's ads are all true!" Whine!

    5) "Any "thinking" black person would be betrayin' his homies to vote for Hillary!" Whimper!

    6) "She should just quit now...even though Obama hasn't won enough delegates!" Waaaah!

    7) "How dare she get in the way of the Obama coronation!" BooHooo!

    8) "Bill Clinton is a racist; the Reverend Wright is jus' tellin' it like it is!" Snivel!

    9) "A vote for Hillary is a vote for McCain!" Whine!

10)"Even tho Barack lost by 10 points in PA, he actually won because he lost by only 10 points!" Blubber!

And, to forestall the expected whines of "you're slamming Barack", this isn't making fun of him, its making fun of his minions.

  • THE VOTERS ARE SPEAKING LOUD AND CLEAR--- IT'S CALLED DEMOCRACY

Pundits and bloggers be damned -- the voters are picking the candidate that can win in November. It is time for the insiders to shut up and let the primary season playout.

Obama cannot win with the black vote, kids and the so-called affluent, better educated in a general election. The guy has a glass jaw when adversity and criticism come -- a disaster in politics. Constantly harping on the so-called Hillary "attacks" will not make this guy a winner. His supporters screaming vitriol attacks on the web have been a true turnoff for voters. His nasty tactics against her have been ignored. PA proves that when voters speak the nomination cannot be bought -- 12 million spent by Obama -- vulgar in the extreme. The Party will be fine unless the insiders are stupid enough to push a candidate who cannot win in November.

From: Two university degrees, affluent and smart enough to know the facts. Weary of being lumped with the so-called "great unwashed" just because I support Senator Clinton. Her hard work and never say "quit" attitude will forever appeal to this country's voters. Great characteristics in a President. GO HILLARY

  • This publication is becoming unreadable.

A fascinating wrinkle buried in the Pennsylvania exit polls is that Democratic voters do not appear to believe that Obama's nomination is a foregone conclusion. Given Obama's purportedly unassailable delegate lead, it was stunning that 43 percent of Pennsylvania voters said they believed that Clinton would be the Democratic nominee.

Have you considered that these people may just all be Salon readers? That might explain why they're so confused!

I'm not even an Obama supporter, and this publication has become virtually unreadable for me.

I mean, seriously, Obama can't close the deal? Wasn't he down by over 20 points a few weeks ago?

He hasn't won a "primary" (I guess caucuses aren't important) since February 22nd? Fair enough, but how many have there been since then?

  • Great News

The NC GOP is running an anti-Obama spot to lead up to the election. No anti-Hillary spot will air.

Seems like they are saving the Democratic party from themselves by weeding out this weak candidate for us.

    Thanks be to God!

"Wrong" is besides the point which is, why are you so concerned about MSM rounding NOW? The answer is because your guy might have been on the short end of it this time. If you really cared about absolute accuracy in general then you should go back and look at all the reported results to see if they were rounded properly but I doubt you will.
