    Why can't Ms. Clinton close the deal?

    When she started this campaign, Ms. Clinton was thought to be the inevitable Democratic nominee.

    Which candidate can expand beyond the traditional democratic base in the general election? It can not be concluded from yesterday's results that Democrats will not vote for Barack in the General.
