Public Policy Polling (PPP) Survey of 2338 Likely Voters Says Obama Wins
This polling outfit in Raleigh, North Carolina asked five simple questions. Undecided voters got an extra question as to which way they were leaning (or still undecided). Other questions covered sex, race, age, region of Pennsylvania (5 were coded).
Madden's article offers some polling data (click on poll). Of the nine polls shown only PPP had Obama a winner at 3% (2% was margin of error). The interesting thing was that the largest sample from the eight polls selecting Hillary Clinton was 1200 (from Strategic Vision). The PPP poll is nearly twice that size.
It challenges our thinking to believe that the Zogby poll (n=675) and the Suffock poll (n=600) both have Hillary Clinton a 10% winner while the PPP poll (n=2338) has Obama winning at 3 %. Are all three random polls ?
