  • To Bill-Hill Supporters...

For some reason, you think that Obama supporters are all naive kids. I'm 41 yrs old and I remember VIVIDLY the Clinton years. I voted twice for Bill. I think most people who are voting for Obama probably voted for a Clinton at some point.

But what astonishingly short or flawed memories some Clinton supporters have. Can that possibly be a function of advanced age? Hell no. It's the rose colored glasses you put on when you reflect on the Clinton years. Perhaps they are needed to get you through the horrors of the Bush presidency. I sympathize, I really do.

That said, get real. Clinton did not transform this nation at all. The economy was strong and we were respected around the world. That's something. It's a lot really given the morons in the White House now. However, that doesn't negate in any way, shape or form the following:

    1) NAFTA

    2) Welfare to Work

    3) Total abject failure on health care reform

    4) Near-total inaction on education reform

These are not small issues that are cherry-picked to make Clinton look bad. These are the truly defining aspects of this man's presidency. They are his legacy. Bill Clinton's a good guy and a smart guy. But why was his admin so very unambitious?

Could it perhaps have been the series of scandals, some self-induced, that helped derail a more progressive agenda? If that's true, and there's evidence of that, why should we all pile back on the Clinton bandwagon again?
