Hillary
Please, if she didn't have an honesty problem it wouldn't be necessary to make this kind of statement. Maybe Hillary should have thought about this issue before she started down this path of scortch & burn and tell any story that will get you elected. I am tired of this kind of politics and I think we are educated enough to demand more than this type of trash.

Gerda1 -- try to love the Clintons just a little bit
All the hate on these boards grows depressing. To be clear, I'm an Obama supporter in this election; however:
Samantha Powers (a former Obama advisor) wrote a book about genocide in which she started out very critical of Bill Clinton's response to genocide in the world...however, she ended her book by acknowledging that what Bill Clinton did to try to help out in Bosnia (while inadequate) it was more than previous presidents had done. In the past presidents had not acknowledged humanitarian intervention as a fully legitimate part of American self-interest. Rwanda was a horrible tragedy, but Clinton does not deserve sole credit. The whole world turned a blind eye. Clearly, a more humanitarian approach is necessary, but there is a huge wall preventing action in Washington D.C. that spreads across Republican and Democratic lines....it took cooperation, even of Bob Dole for the US to intervene on behalf of the Bosnians. Would that we had also acted in Rwanda...the US still needs to act with more force (in my view) in the Darfur.
But right now I'm trying to see the world through the eyes of a Clinton supporter. They are very loyal to Hillary for many good reasons...she and her husband were very different than Bush. They made mistakes, but they also seemed to govern with more heart than the administrations before or after them. this should be acknowledged.
For the Democratic party to pull together and "move on" to an Obama candidacy, we can't do it on a dishonest overly critical assessment of Clinton years. Yes, mistakes were made, but Obama will not be free of error either. The Clintons, while not perfect, enacted many good policies that benefited many Americans, and many people around the world. This much is true.
No, I believe that Hillary Clinton is not as bad as we've been led to think. I think Obama is the right person for the country at this moment in history, but this doesn't mean that I must hate the Clintons. Even in the race right now, Obama does, arguably, need the fighting practice to take on McCain and the 527's. I'm not saying that I agree with everything Clinton has said or done...I don't. But acknowledging the good that the Clintons have done is one of the only way that our party can pull together and move forward this November...
peace.

Obama is toast...
And Hillary looks better and better. If she could just:
1. Lose Bill
2. Tell the truth
3. Stop with the "35 years of experience" fantasy

Hillary Clinton Slams MoveOn With Karl Rove's Lies
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jane-hamsher/hillary-clinton-slams-mov_b_97511.html
The Huffington Post has Hillary Clinton on tape disparaging Barack Obama and his support from MoveOn, saying that the organization "didn't even want us to go into Afghanistan.
I've tried to stay out of the pie fights of late, but as a long-term defender of MoveOn and other progressive organizations -- this is completely unacceptable.
"MoveOn opposed military action in Afghanistan" is a Republican talking point, articulated specifically and purposefully by Karl Rove:
Read on. Hillary has morphed into Rove, now really showing her true colors of exclusion and elitism

She's worse.
Does America really want someone prone to hallucinations in the WH? Reviewing Hillary's methodical playing of the "Race card", and "The Perpetual Victim" against Obama; her inability to control her own campaign finances; and, her recent commentary on: Iraq; Pakistan; Energy Policy; her stated intention to confiscate the profits of American energy companies; the need for her to control the 14 Trillion $ American Economy from her White House Politburo, since she has declared the free-market to be a failure (this from a woman who hasn't managed so much as a corner vegetable stand, or for that matter her own marriage; but, of course you could count Whitewater, and her tenure as "Madam" and Bimbo Containment Chief for Bill's White House Brothel); her Marxist statement in San Francisco: "We're going to have to take more from you, and give it to others for the common good."; Illegal Immigration; Taxes; Infanticide; Massive new Government spending; Multi million $ Senate earmarks for supporters of Hillary's Presidential campaign; Garnishing of your wages to fund her coveted Socialized medicine program; a fanatical advocate of confiscating all civilian handguns; and, the Clinton's history of emasculating the military, verifies that this grievously flawed woman would be the female version of the Jimmy Carter debacle that gave us the Ayatollah Khomeini who ushered in rampant Islamic radicalism; block-long lines at our gasoline stations; a severely hollow military; and, a record Misery Index. Only much worse. Considering all of Hillary's recent gaffes, e.g. "I voted FOR IT (referring to the Bankruptcy Bill); but, I was glad to see that it didn't pass."; her hallucinations over "Landing under intense sniper fire in Bosnia."; misrepresentations on NAFTA; or, her fantasized role in the Irish Peace Process; and, her increasingly frequent crying jags, one has to wonder if excessive use of Botox has affected her mental stability. It's no wonder that her campaign staff is shielding her from reporter and audience unscripted questions. The prospect of Madam Hillary as President; in a word: TERRIFYING. Greg Neubeck

Rufus, you crack me up while you make me think :)
You see that pain on ol' Pat's face too, huh? It's pretty funny. Almost a bemused look, sometimes, like he's trying to figure out what's happened to the world while he was out catching a smoke. Karma's a bitch (Note to Clinton supporters: I said Karma). I'm sure the weekly "discussions" drive him nuts. Especially now that crazy John McLaughlin is starting to even make sense, and he really decides the answers to the questions he poses. It must be hell sitting there. I know I laugh myself silly at the desperate attempts to give the "right" answers.
Scarborough's another story. I was kind of hoping against hope that he might have been growing a soul, but I guess not.
I've never caught the feeling you're opposed to free speech; it's more like libel or, as you put it, treason, and those are crimes. It's often also rather like yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater, especially for older people, as you've mentioned, who are already trapped inside that "cave." They deserve to get a crack at the truth along with the rest of us. They are also more likely to be "clinging" (Joan, can I still use that word?) to the GOP. Me, I'm more like a barnacle, a thorn in their side. They haven't figured out how to get rid of me.
No, I don't think it will happen over night, but it will happen. There's too many of us out here for them to cope with over the long haul. We each have our own ways of shorting them out. Collectively we can make their chosen livelihood hell and send them back to the swamp they all crawled out of.
