At one time Salon would have been at the forefront of covering the torture meetings in the White House. By this time the site would be on its second roundtable of leading thinkers.
Even a year back, Salon would be kinda sorta in tune with the readership and exploit audience fury at ABC and the media in general with a few articles.
At one time Salon would actually be in tune with the global food crisis enough to realize an article about cupon clipping by Heather H is tone deaf. Although it does follow the long tradition of personal fluff articles, and it's not as bad as most.
Now Salon has YET ANOTHER empty campaign article, this time with an insulting headline for Clinton. Again nothing of substance aboutt how her programs stack up to Obama. Again nothing about her opinions on say, torture or the unitary executive branch or the current judicial nominees or any pressing issue except a bit of the economy.
Joan Walsh get a clue, you are no longer an alternative, you are a sad little shadow of the mainstream.
