I guess you can be as edgy and outside the lines as you wish
But if you don't understand there's a huge pile of nonsensical things every candidate HAS to do then you're playing in the wrong ballpark. Sorry dudes and dudettes but that's just what's what. No candidate is going to cater exclusively to the slacktastic generation of people too cool for school.
