@ohmercy
I've wondered a lot about why the Obama supporters are so
totally without class. Usually, when one's guy is apparently
winning one has a certain sense of "noblesse oblige"( or something
like that.)
Instead, the best they can do is be overtly condescending. And
usually they are downright nasty - all out of porportion to what
has been said about their candidate.
I'd like to think that they secretly think Obama isn't going to win,
and they are being defensive, but I know that's not it. Unfortunately.
Rather, I think, as you said, that it reflects Obama himself. I've
read numerous anecdotal stories about how Obama simply cannot allow ANYONE to get in his way. Anyone who dares to do so must be crushed.
He is very much like Bush in this way.......and in many other ways.
Having said that, Mark Penn: YUCK! There is simply NO accounting for
people's taste.

@TRenee
"What HRC said about MLK and LBJ was like saying "It wasn't
Nelson Mandela who was important in ending South African
apartheid, it was the ANC making it illegal"
I disagree. It wasn't like that at all. She was saying
IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO.

@libertyson
Oh for cryin' out loud. Please get out of your pretzel position
before you do serious damage to yourself.
A generation is 18 years, roughly the time when people begin
to procreate -( unless you live in the deep South, then it's 12 years.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.)
The Baby Boomer Generation is from 1946 to 1964 - '46 being
the year the soldiers came back from WW11 and started making
up for lost time.
Frankly, I'd rather the creepy Obama wasn't a Boomer. Let the
Gen Xer's have him.
And one more thing: BOOMERS RULE!!!!!!

Hillary's Conscience
Hearing about Senator Clinton's past is so sad. Clearly she once had a conscience. So how did she get herself to vote for the Iraq war? Nobody can tell me a bright, possibly brilliant, woman like Hillary was stupid enough to buy the Bush administration's lies, which means she voted for war knowing it was unnecessary and likely to be a catastrophe. What happened to that conscience she had back in '68?

Ben Sen on what I sound like
You sound like someone who wants to question anything that can be perceived as a threat to Obama.
No, I don't. Not even close.
Let's put it this way — when you (or anyone, on any subject) can make an argument that isn't horseshit, I'll stop saying it stinks.

Frisco Bunny on conscience
So how did she get herself to vote for the Iraq war? ... What happened to that conscience she had back in '68?
Politics "happened." That's what you get with political office — compromises that you don't like to achieve ends that are as much of what you wanted as possible at the time. And all the more so with high office.
That's not to say that politicians, by definition, have no conscience — any more than it is to say that they all do.
The real question to ask about Hillary Clinton is not what happened to her conscience — it's whether she made the right compromises. She was wrong about the war — deadly wrong — but so was her entire party.
Are she, and they, unforgivable for having been wrong? Especially if unforgiveness means 8 years of McCain?

TRenee on the ANC and the National Party in South Africa
"It wasn't really Nelson Mandela who was important in ending South African apartheid--it was the ANC making it illegal!"
Minor point, but I think you mean the National Party, not the ANC! The African National Congress was Mandela's own party.
