@libertyson on "He's not a Boomer"
Yeah, right. I know what he'd be considered if he walked into an office trying to get a job interviewing with a 30-year old hiring manager today (if he weren't a Presidential candidate that everyone thought was cool). He'd be too old, one of those Boomers who might cost them too much money. Sorry. I had it said to my face, several times, even though it is ILLEGAL, in job interviews, I know exactly how people my age, and slightly older, are viewed and what generation they are viewed as. And I was born in 1964. Live with it. Hate to ruin your dream. He's a Boomer.

Hillary was IN FAVOR of Health Care
Newt Gingrich and ilk are the people who destroyed it for 16 years.

@chiefpayne
They won't see it. They only have eyes for you: sexism and bias that is. The increasing evidence that Hillary might be somewhat less than a candidate for sainthood will be duly ignored.

Ben Sen on ... I'm not sure what
where Barack is weakest at this point couldn't be worse: patriotism.
This is pure hot air, nothing but a Republican talking point. You're either a fool or no Clinton/Obama supporter at all.
There is no evidence — none — that white, working class Democrats in Pennsylvania support Clinton because Obama doesn't wear a flag pin.
Zero. Zilch. Nada. I defy you to produce one bit of it.

A couple of things were left out of this article....
Hillary did NOT denigrate MLK when she said it took both MLK's leadership of a grassroots movement and a president dedicated to the legislation to get the Civil Rights Act into law. Bill Moyers ( a national treasure) has spoken of this, he worked for Johnson's administration. He has said that the two worked together to get it done.The fact that writers misrepresent this shows that informing people of the truth of a historic event is much less important to them than feding the narrative they like.
Why is no writer covering how much help BO has recieved from the current Daley machine? Because it goes against the narrative that they wish to present.
This is irresponsible journalism and misleads many young voters.

Hillary 09
Well boys, I had a bookbag in 1968 and before that. 1968 radicalized a lot of Dems but ultimately I was wrong to turn my back on the system after MLK and RFK were killed. Thanks to the immaturity of people like me we allowed Nixon into the White House and it was a horror. Humpfrey would not have been as bad.
For the Hillary haters, it must have really galled you that she came out of law school and was able to work on the Nixon Impeachment team. Yes, that was her at the table with her big coke bottle glasses on. Many of us look better now than we did then.
That her idol is Eleanor Roosevelt I'm sure drives the Bushies insane...determined as they've all been since their Grandaddy to dismantle the New Deal. And, they've almost done it. Hillary is the only one who has a chance of beating them back...not only with her history but with the people she'll bring with her as appointees. Archangel Obama is too much an unknown entity for me.
Onward to Denver. That's where it used to be (and always should be) decided anyway rather than the candidate being annointed ahead of time.

Nope, she did it with an incomprehensible, behemoth plan that no one could follow and the Republicans could sabogtage. Yes, she in favor of heathcare. But she killed it. She was clearly the wrong person for the job.

@ John Anderson
I actually find it fascinating that they can ignore the evidence of their own eyes, as seen in the written blog of the man who fired her...who SAYS she's untrustworthy...who shows what her character is like.
The lack of logic in knowing that character matters is astounding!
-
@ Christopher1988
BTW, the prototype for her plan is STILL with Tennessee. At one point, it took up 48% of that state's budget! It is now down to a more comfortable 35% or so...but it is not working and everyone there knows it.
Now imagine if it had been instituted on a NATIONAL scale as was!!! Her plan at that time was not a viable one.

@chiefpayne
Very good point. Everyone knows she killed healthcare. Before that, she was being referred to as "St. Hillary." Remember those days (he asks, gagging)? She destroyed the Democrats' shot at healthcare, stalling at first at her father's bedside as long as she could, before presenting an unworkable plan. And then after the huge failure of it, boy she ducked and ran and had nary a thing to do publicly with the politics of the Clinton White House ever again. That's how bad she tanked.

re: healthcare
So after taking massive donations from insurers and providers we're supposed to believe that Hillary's going to reform the very system that's paying her off? Riiiiight.
And speaking of healthcare, HRC sure did a bang-up job when she was first lady of Arkansas, AKA 'The Rickets State'...
-
@ Christopher1988
She tanked on healthcare reform all right. All it took was a ridiculous Harry & Louise advert and Hillary Rocky Clinton was down for the count. HRC likes to endlessly crow about what a fighter she is; a true fighter would've hung Gingrich & crew up by their ball sacks.

@Amity II
You sound like someone who wants to question anything that can be perceived as a threat to Obama. Are you another hothead--or in the "discussion" and willing to change your opinion as the situation merits it?
The problem is his minister, his lapel, and his record. Whether you like how it is perceived or not, the "allegations" are what damage him with those who are not his apologists. I am compromising by not repeating the worst of it--the part that has already cost him thousands if not millions of "crossover" votes. Patriotism may be a "non-issue" to you, but not to a nation that has already sacrificed 4,000 lives.
I am suggesting it is time to look realistically at the situation--not idealistically--and what it will take for the Democrats to win--not just Obama.
I said a lot more that you are not "bothering" to consider if you are not advocating a split in the Democratic party that returns the Republicans to power.
Think before you type. I'm not interested in arguing with a shill.
