@ Katetex
I agree that the media hates Hillary Clinton. Its the reason her negatives have always been so high. That isn't going to change. You think they'll give her a break because she's running against another media darling in McCain?
To me, you've just made an argument on why Obama can better win against McCain. Why go into November with the media against us from the start? Wouldn't it make more since to fight media darling with media darling?
Clinton supporters who complain about how Obama's race make him untouchable with the media. You think that'll change in November against McCain? They can't run a Willie Horton ad against Obama. The media and the public would go ape Sh!t.
Why put Hillary Clinton at the head of our ticket when we know the media is going to maul her? We need to win this thing, and kamikazee is not a valid political strategy.
Clinton supporters complaining about bias against Clinton inadverently provide another reason not to nominate her.

@Hutman
How can you state with a straight face that the op-ed piece (which contains tons of factual information) I "dredged up" is a year old? If you'll notice, it's datelined April 4, 2008. That would be all of two days ago. Much of the (extensive) factual information in this piece was gleaned straight from the ongoing Rezko trial (a name which I do not recall ever misspelling - quibble quibble); either that, or from other perfectly legitimate, verifiable sources. Do you suppose the writer is up for a large pile of libel lawsuits? I would think not.
As for your proposition that the granny story is so yesterday - are you kidding? Another poster cited Obama's much earlier, autobiographical account of the incident in question. Obama's pull-myself-out-of-the-ditch speech put an entirely different construction on granny's reaction to a SPECIFIC black man who frightened her at a bus stop. The Speech made it sound as if granny, like most 'typical' white people, had some sort of ingrained prejudice against blacks in general. So yes, Obama did use his grandmother, much to his discredit, and nothing he has since said exonerates him.
As for hewing to the liberal line come November if Obama wins the Democratic nomination, I'll just paraphrase Michelle and say, "Well, I'd really have to think about that."

Hillary Clinton won the Ohio primary
And so did John Kerry. But Kerry lost Ohio.
Why?
Kerry received a greater percentage of the white vote in Ohio than Bill Clinton and Al Gore. But, because of the Ohio Marriage Amendment and the Ohio black community's conservative stand on homosexuality, he received less than Clinton or Gore's share of the black vote in that state.
Had he held the black vote in Ohio to what Clinton or Gore received, Kerry would have won the state and the Presidency.
If Clinton loses the pledged delegate count and the popular vote, where do you suppose her numbers will be with black voters in November?
Admittedly, Obama will not win the white vote. But neither will Clinton; no Democrat has since the civil rights era. The Democratic nominee must receive nearly 90% of the black vote in order to win.

KateTex
I don't know about the circumstances of your daily reality, but where I live nobody has uttered so much as a single word of interest in anything having to do with Obama's grandmother. Your grasping at straws does nothing to dignify your cause.

@ KateTex
The article written by an admitted Clinton supporter is recent. But the newspaper article SHE referrences was written in April 2007. All of the information brought out in the trial so far was contained in the article written a year ago.
The point is, if I read all of this information a year ago, and saw it on the news, why is it new if some biased columnist decides to write about it one year later?
If she writes about White Water does that make White Water new?

@ KateTex
And the name is xufapemu, not xufapema.
I don't know what the hell a xufapema is ;)

@manos99
Just for the record, I posted the grandma story in reponse to a
Obama supporters rather long defense of his typical white person comment and his grandmother's story, no one said it was an ongoing story.

@jacksmith
Your shipment of Fail has come in.
By the way, I reported you for spamming the exact same insult post over many threads over the past couple months. Nice knowin ya.
You oughta spam your bile over at stormfront.org, you'll probably get a better reception over there.

Can we agree that sunshine blasts from Obama's ass and just move on?
Because I really want to see a little of this Sun-God Worship destroy the infidels and heretics in the GOP when the time comes. In case you haven't noticed, your enemy is John McCain who is openly running as Bush's third term. And a quiet enemy is a dangerous enemy. So when you're done pretending you're Chris Matthews and wang smashing Hillary in the face, let me know.
Otherwise it's going to go down like George McGovern II. Remember they thought that being a cult would guarantee a win for the far left too.

Evangelical Clinton Cultists
KateTex, lolcait, Jameka, ljwalker53...etc. all have the dour traits of cultists. Kind of a mix of Naderism and Scientology. But without the charisma. Evangelizing with vinegar instead of honey; often with worse writing skills than L. Ron Hubbard, praise Xenu!
No, I'm not going to join your Jahiliyya Jihad to exalt and venerate Dear Leader.

@ Electro Robot
I remember 1968. This ain't 1968 and Obama is no George McGovern. He's also no Adlai Stevenson or Walter Mondale.
Nobody was going to beat Eisenhower, Nixon, or Reagan those years.
Obama can win in November. It's not a forgone conclusion, but its there. In 2008, any Democrat has a path to the Presidency.
In my opinion, despite what Tim Russert says, Obama's path is clearer than Clinton's.
Also, Obama is better suited to build and expand the party and majorities in Congress.
I understand your frustration on behalf of Hillary, bu this isn't a cult and all of his supporters are not young pie eyed leftists.
I believe in cold hard reality and the reality is Mrs. Clinton failed to win the nomination that was hers for the taking. The reality is the media hates Clinton's guts, and blacks (the most reliable Democratic constituency) could well become a swing vote in 2008 if she is the nominee.
She won't win the nomination because Super Delegates will look beyond this race and beyond these candidates.
She won't win in November because the deck is already stacked against her (high negatives and media bias).
She should stay in the race until she is beaten, but she will eventually be beaten. It's just a matter of time now.
