Kate certainly doesn’t need me to interpret her remarks for you (as if I was capable of doing so) but since you at least seem capable of placing a noun and a verb in the correct chronological order (which immediately elevates you into an elite circle of Salon commenter’s,) lemme give it a shot. The interpretation is mine, but if you stir the thought slightly with a whiff of poetic license we may make some progress in straightening out that puzzled frown on your face. Having credited you with a modicum of intelligence, and I mean that sincerely, (at least till the “foaming” part, but we can work on that later) we know, don’t we, that taking a word, phrase, sentence, etc. out of context, spinning it through a magic kaleidoscopic prism, distorting it beyond recognition, and then with a totally sincere looking stare of innocence, bravely repelling a nonexistent meaning, is, oh I don’t know, what’s the word? Duplicitous?

Here’s the deal, 88. The German-Soviet Nonaggression Pact of 1933 made “allies” of a scorpion and a tarantula. The only question was who would betray the other first. You with me so far, 88? Now fast forward to 2008, and using my description as a metaphor for Clinton/Obama, guess who was first to betray his honor, his constituency, his race, his country, and his “good name?” (Did using “his” five times give it away?)

It is my opinion, and my opinion alone, that what Obama did, using his legacy Harvard education, in deceiving approximately 40 million African Americans, not to mention most everyone else, was an act of moral turpitude that I will never forgive. Concocting and orchestrating a Clinton/racist slur, for a group of Americans that justifiably felt pride and hope in his candidacy, constitutes a blood libel that will forever define Barrack Obama, at least for me. Alone among white political leaders, Blacks felt a special bond of kinship with the Clintons; Bill and Hillary honored that bond with a lifetime of dedication to their, and our, causes.

It was an act of treachery so profound that it shocks the conscious. America doesn’t deserve Obama, and Obama doesn’t deserve America……………..in my opinion of course..

  • BE A PROUD AMERICAN AND TAKE BACK THE WHITEHOUSE

It's time to stoke the flames of Democracy!

As Democrats, have we forgotten the manner in which we have been treated over the past nearly eight years?

Don't we remember being referred to as the DemocRat party?

Of being called the cowardly, unpatriotic, cut and run party?

Of being confronted with arrogance and distain at every turn by men whose only interest is personal enrichment through their corrupt corporations, i.e. Cargill, Halliburton, Blackwater etc.?

Of being told that it"s OK for Middle Eastern companies, often fronts for foreign governments and or terrorist organizations to manage our most vital seaports?

Of being met with shrugs when questions arise over oil company profits and prices at the gas pump?

Of being denied the right to see the returning coffins of our fallen heroes?

Of having a cost of 2.9 trillion dollars shoved down our throats to fund a war that takes our sons and daughters?

Of being told the economy is just fine and we should just get over the mortgage crisis?

Of suggestions that illegal covert electronic eavesdropping and surveillance of American citizens is not a matter for the constitution?

We"ve endured untold numbers of insults, lies and diversions from a corrupt, arrogant, lascivious, illegal and despicable group of perverse old men who prize their wealth over their humanity.

IF YOU"RE A HILLARY FAN THAT"S GREAT. IF YOU"RE A BARACK FAN THAT"S EQUALLY GREAT. WE MUST NEVER LOSE SIGHT OF ONE ABSOLUTE. A DEMOCRAT MUST SIT IN THE OVAL OFFICE FOR THE NEXT EIGHT YEARS AND BEYOND.

  • Who/What did Obama betray?

How did he betray his party? Let alone his race? The argument makes no sense. I see no connection between the Soviet-Nazi pact and this race. Not to mention that in your analogy, Clinton is a Nazi! You tell me which is worse.

I can't imagine what Obama has betrayed. He's run for the presidency. A black man "isn't supposed" to have gotten this far, but he has. No one was supposed to be a more likely contender for the Democratic nomination than Hillary. But someone else came along the voters found more appealing.

Obama has steered clear of personality-assassination poltics, he has talked about the issues, and he's made a winning case for his beliefs. I'm certainly not saying anyone has to agree with his arguments, that's the political process. It so happens that a lot of voters have agreed with him.

But unless you can tell me in clear and simple language how he has betrayed either his party—when he's the first crossover candidate in years likely to lure away Republicans to vote for a Democratic ticket? think Hillary can pull that off and secure a White House win? (she's alienated every centrist and conservative out there; and the Democrats aren't going to win with only Democratic support)—or his race—when he exemplifies that race is no longer a barrier to success, and in fact encourages America to have an honest talk about race and the politics of race in this country?—then your post doesn't really answer any questions for me.

  • @Christopher

Christopher, I'll make it simple. All the lavish praise you swarm upon Obama is opinion....not fact.

The Clintons enjoyed a long standing, warm, and deep relationship with the black community. Obama and his operatives used the understandable pride they felt for a fellow African American to libel the Clintons as racists.

That, my friend, is a blood libel, and one that I will never forgive him for. The depraved character flaw that would sacrifice the life's work of two public servants who made race relations their centerpiece is simply disgusting.

All those other things you stated are your infatuations with your guy, and that's fine by me. To lie to a group that looked for honesty and hope, and to take advantage of yearning people at the expense of Bill and Hillary Clinton is beneath contempt.
