A few thoughts
1) Clinton supporters - you guys have an article today fawning over her...howzabout you guys write glowing paeans to her over there and leave this one to us "Obamaniacs"? Deal?
2) For those who deride Obama as being personable and able to relate with Americans, and how that's exactly what Bush had...well jeebus, that's the ONLY positive Bush had! And remember, that guy won TWO elections! Obviously Obama isn't going to be the same President that Bush was (does anyone actually think that Obama is a secret neo-con?!)...but man, maybe the fact that he can relate to average americans is...i dunno...a good thing??
3) Along the same lines - I've been wondering lately what McLuhan would've thought about these two candidates. Obama (and Bush) seem to be "cool" media types while Clinton is "hot"...it seems that people respond better to "cool", I think McLuhan wouldn't be surprised at all at how things have shaken down thus far. Does anyone with a better understanding of McLuhan think the same?
4) One thing about Obama - the man looks comfortable in a suit. I see men (myself included) all day long in suits, and it's the (very) rare man that looks at ease in them. Most men look slightly hunched, slightly uncomfortable...but not Obama, he looks like he was born in a suit. It may not mean much of anything, but it's certainly rare.
