Hillary's Lies About Outsourcing
NAFTA is Only Half the Story
http://www.counterpunch.org/
Newly released White House records demonstrate that Clinton lied about NAFTA. NAFTA, however, is but a single thread in a web of deception regarding globalization and free trade. Clinton is lying not only about NAFTA, but about outsourcing as well. And the evidence comes, not from Obama, but from official records, video tapes, quotations and recordings of Clinton speeches abroad.
Consider this. In 2005 Senator Clinton visited New Delhi, India, ("far, far from our shores"), where she met wealthy business leaders, venture capitalists eager for U.S. investment. A few years prior to her visit, Enron gained a foothold in India's economy. Enron uprooted local communities, fleeced the public coffers, then pulled out of India with the profits of unregulated greed.

The only real issue the media addresses, sort of.
Are voters stupid enough to buy this crap?
How the man holds and delivers a bowling ball is very important when you are electing the leader of the "free" world.

Elect more lawyers!
Talesin,
(Frank Lloyed Wright?)
Always nice to see someone celebrate lawyers. Actually, working class people can read contracts. They can also delegate to attorneys who can read contracts for them. Remember, the President is the President, not the Attorney General. Delegation. Important point.
Union staff would be laughing at your comments. Union negotiators and stewards read contracts all the time. Union officers, especially national union leaders, negotiate master contracts that cover thousands of workers. Somehow the 'dummies' do it! There is even a group of labor attorneys, who sometimes come from the ranks of labor, or understand it's position.
Obama and Clinton were not even labor attorneys. Clinton famously advised WalMart for many years. The legislatures are full of lawyers, and where has it gotten us? Even unions have to remember that the lawyer represents you, not the other way around...
I appreciate your comments about people having to be themselves. If Obama is smart, he will not pretend too much. But having a position that we need lawyers in office automatically puts you against populism. You are not a populist. Even some of the voters want 'experts' to lead them around. The population has been demobilized, de-politicized, dis-organized. That way the 'lawyers' can then represent 'us.' Democracy means more than voting for attorneys.
By the way, I work for attorneys. Nice folks, but not qualified to lead because they are attorneys.

Lilybean...typically crazy Hillary supporter
Name me one working class person who has ever been elected President. Ya know why George Washington was our first general and President? Hint: not because of height (not that that hurt). Answer: He was the wealthiest man in the colonies.
When you call someone a "silver tongued devil", you sound crazy.
When you call Tim Russert, a man the GOP counts on to throw softball questions, a tool of the Obama campiagn you sound crazy.
When you become the first person since 1977 to use the term "whitey", you sound crazy.
When you blame Obama for a decision that the state parties of MI and FL made, when they were notified that their actions would result in these penalties months ago...you sound crazy.
When you expect the MI votes to count, when only Clinton was on the ballot because the votes were not going to count, you sound like a creazy weasel. Do you really believe Hillary would want these votes to count if they were likely to lean towards Obama?
His poll numbers are trending up, so your opinion about America "catching on" is equally crazy.
One can only conclude that you are...what is the word I am looking for. Oh, yeah - CRAZY. You are crazy.
And that makes sense, because your hero is too...
Tuesday: "It is an honor to be sitting next to Senator Obama"
Wednesday: "Shame on you Barack Obama"
Coo-coo for Coco-Puffs. Or just a coward that kisses up to people when face-to-face, only to trash them when they are out of earshot.
But ya gotta have pride, right!?!?!
Stay classy!

@ Kate Tex
Sometimes I have the singular luxury of reading some of the links that people post in support of their positions. Here is an excerpt from one that "kate tex" offers up as evidence that "race baiting" began with Obama:
"Instead, she had to fight back against a deliberately contrived strategy to make her and her husband look like race-baiters. Obama's supporters and operatives, including his chief campaign strategist David Axelrod, seized on accurate and historically noncontroversial statements and supplied a supposedly covert racist subtext that they then claimed the calculating Clinton campaign had inserted."
I invite you to read more:

Seriously-Salon readers are smart enough to judge for themselves. Readers, how well do you think this article makes Kate's case?

@weeping for brunnhilde - do you remember Getty Square?
yes i knew Yonkers very well. i lived further north, in the jewish section. this is a bit of woolgathering.
i was walking home one day from school (i was about 17) and there were about 5 young black men on a stoop near getty square. one got me into conversation - an innocent, i really didn't know how to get out of it, but i didn't really want to get buddy buddy with a guy just out of prison (on armed robbery charges). he invited me up. i didn't know how to say "no" but i was in a panic till another of the guys just said "leave him alone". (to me) "now get going" - i must have looked at him with love in my eyes because that was how i felt - and i immediately left for home. i don't know who he did it for - me - his friend - who knows? who cares? i wasn't raped. -
Nutter's Endorsement
I'm not sure that Nutter brings anything machine wise to the table. He beat Fattah, who was the machine candidate in his run for mayor. He's popular but new, and I'd wager that he doesn't have the gravitas with the block captains and ward leaders in the African American neighborhoods to shift them to Hillary by himself.
He seems like a good mayor (definite relief from the last clown). I'll be happy when the primary is over and he can stop speaking from the Mark Penn playbook (same goes for Rendell).
Of course if the SDs announced today indicate a real wave and there are others that are moving towards Obama and Hillary has the money troubles that it appears she has, it might not matter anyway.
