And Tom Payne is the voice of reason? Why don't you make a comment regarding his rants? Unless of course, as long as you are the same side of the fence offensive comments are okay? That smells like hypocrisy to me. Also, Salon does not seem to be biased for Hillary. I have seen negative articles about her as well. If you prefer your "new/commentary" to be one sided, then join dailyKOS, or yahoo news.
Just what we need...
... another wonderful president, another line before the kneepad
should women really vote?
2008 Presidential election, short version: choose between the old rich white guy, the rich white woman lawyer or the rich black lawyer.
How did Obama make out with the results from the Texas caucus?
And that my friend is politics in this country. It's kinda like a minority or a woman being judged by a jury of their "peers" prior to the 70's. Remember when VH1 tried to determine the "bling" factor or who was the king of Bling between John Kerry and George W. in '04. It was like a train wreck that I was just compelled to watch. Do I really feel represented by a man who spends $300,000 a year to golf? Do I have more respect for a man who spends approx. $12,000 a year on neckties? What the hell does this have to do with me? I make 23,000 a year in social work and I have a son struggling with autism. I am changing diapers on my 5yr old and desperately hoping for my son to some day speak. My priority in life is sustainability and keeping my children healthy and safe. I don't give a damn about who would make a groovy guy in the oval office or whose ostentatious display of wealth makes him the "king of bling." As for politicians, I look for bills that they have passed and proposals they have made and try to find a happy medium. I vote democrat because that is the party that appears to be more in line with my values. I chose Hillary, because she has a more definitive proposal for Autism, not because she is a chick or a feminist or any other such crap.
Hillary Clinton is going to put rocky-road ice cream in all of America's grade-school cafeterias.

Here's a relevant article:

The jist is that Obama has won Texas with the delegate total (primaries and caucuses combined) being 94 Clinton, 99 Obama. Or 95, 98 if the Clinton team gets what it wants at the state convention. Either way he's 3-5 delegates ahead in the state of Texas. It won't be official till June.
Excerpt:
"Clinton won the popular vote in the March 4 primaries and a majority of the primary-allotted delegates, giving her a 65-61 lead.
Obama's campaign claimed he came out of this weekend's conventions with a 38-29 at-large delegate lead, giving him a five-pledged-delegate lead over Clinton.
"We can confirm now that Barack Obama won Texas," said Obama spokesman Josh Earnest.
Clinton state Chairman Garry Mauro conceded that Obama is likely to have a 37-30 advantage in the at-large delegates, which would give Obama a total lead of three pledged delegates over Clinton.
Mauro said Clinton may be able to take at least two national nominating convention delegates away from Obama at the state convention. She is working on convincing a majority of the 351 automatic state convention delegates to support her, Mauro said."
Also of note for anybody who wants an update: "In the national delegate fight, Obama is leading 1,623 to Clinton's 1,499, according to the Associated Press, with 2,025 needed to win."
Not only does Tom Payne get a pass, but he gets an apologist to boot. XH has condoned his insulting, name-calling and sophomoric tone because if you sort through the BS there are good points, donchya know?
Is this Tom Payne some Bizzaro-world version of Thomas Paine? Because I've read Thomas Paine, and he is no Thomas Paine.
Stop making "canyons out of differences" Obama fans. Hillary is a good Democrat and a good Progressive, as is Obama. You're sliding down a slippery slope that the right-wing ideologues have found themselves at the bottom of.
YOU MIGHT BE AN IDIOT:-)
If you think Barack Obama with little or no experience would be better than Hillary Clinton with 35 years experience.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience can fix an economy on the verge of collapse better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) led the greatest economic expansion, and prosperity in American history.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience fighting for universal health care can get it for you better than Hillary Clinton. Who anticipated this current health care crisis back in 1993, and fought a pitched battle against overwhelming odds to get universal health care for all the American people.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) went to war only when he was convinced that he absolutely had to. Then completed the mission in record time against a nuclear power. AND DID NOT LOSE THE LIFE OF A SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER. NOT ONE!
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience saving the environment is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) left office with the greatest amount of environmental cleanup, and protections in American history.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with little or no education experience is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) made higher education affordable for every American. And created higher job demand and starting salary's than they had ever been before or since.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that Obama with no experience will be better than Hillary Clinton who spent 8 years at the right hand of President Bill Clinton. Who is already on record as one of the greatest Presidents in American history.
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton..
You Might Be An Idiot!
If you think all those Republicans voting for Obama in the Democratic primaries, and caucuses are doing so because they think he is a stronger Democratic candidate than Hillary Clinton. :-)
Best regards
