@ weeping for brunnhilde: An Answer to Your Question

Michael Nutter (Philadelphia's mayor, who is Black) was interviewed on ABC News last night about the upcoming primary and other political matters. He was asked about Rev. Wright's comments and whether Nutter would have stayed and supported Wright if it had been his church or pastor. Nutter said, "No" and gave a really reasoned and thoughtful response to the answer. Here's the link to the story:

Now, Nutter is also Ivy League educated, he's smart and creative, and he has done a lot of good work in Philly. This is why I think Obama may have trouble. To date, there hasn't been a lot of pushback to Wright's comments from respected Black leaders. Nutter is respected in the city and in the Black community and has now spoken out.
