And that my friend is politics in this country. It's kinda like a minority or a woman being judged by a jury of their "peers" prior to the 70's. Remember when VH1 tried to determine the "bling" factor or who was the king of Bling between John Kerry and George W. in '04. It was like a train wreck that I was just compelled to watch. Do I really feel represented by a man who spends $300,000 a year to golf? Do I have more respect for a man who spends approx. $12,000 a year on neckties? What the hell does this have to do with me? I make 23,000 a year in social work and I have a son struggling with autism. I am changing diapers on my 5yr old and desperately hoping for my son to some day speak. My priority in life is sustainability and keeping my children healthy and safe. I don't give a damn about who would make a groovy guy in the oval office or whose ostentatious display of wealth makes him the "king of bling." As for politicians, I look for bills that they have passed and proposals they have made and try to find a happy medium. I vote democrat because that is the party that appears to be more in line with my values. I chose Hillary, because she has a more definitive proposal for Autism, not because she is a chick or a feminist or any other such crap.
