    It's a good old-fashioned witch hunt. Thank God reason has been thrown out the window. A signature at the bottom of a secret, blood-stained document is all the evidence needed to convict. Society must be protected. Lawn order.

    Did the "Arab terrorists" with their physics-defying magic carpet technology successfully blow the veneer of civilization off the US in one fell, if mythical, swoop?

    That's where to aim the silver bullet: the herd was spooked by the sleight-of-hand on 9/11/01. They'll buy anything now. They'll allow anything.

    How many more Kafka-esque prosecutions? When do we get to full-on thoughtcrime? You do love Big Brother, don't you?
