Waiting For Their Savior
The Republicans are only half the problem unfortunately. The other half are disloyal Democrats, so-called liberals, and third party advocates who insist the Republicans are right about Hillary and conceed to them.
Worse are those who feel it is their duty to "protect" the electorate with their revelation so we won't waste our vote on her. Or they threaten us by promising to vote for McCain if she's nominated. That'll teach everybody a lesson.
Who are they? What is it about her that makes them so certain? Clinton's prosecution at the hands of the right only confirm their view. They swear it has nothing to do with her sex or husband's problem. It's nothing personal, it's her vote on the war, etc. but they lie and it's becoming obvious.
The Clintons don't get to be victims of anybody--after all--they knew too many people--their asses belong to the Demon Beltway. They were in authority way too long--and that alone makes them suspect.
The new political prophets have spoken on TV and here in cyberland--why don't the rest of us admit defeat? It's more understandable in blacks. They have a new hero and now they see more clearly than ever the fate of anyone who goes against the ruling class, but for the middle-class pretending to be something they are not Hillary dissing is an exercise in pretense and adolescent hubris, regardless of their age.
There is nothing HRC did so bad as to merit their "reaction" but they'll find something in the speech she gave in Rotterdam in 1978, or the latest overly enthusiastic gaff. They're basically rejecting the political process as it exists and installing their own fantasy.
They mark the return of the naive ideologues from the sixties who ran away from the political process after Nixon was elected and handed the country over to the forces that led to Bush. And still they are whining and waiting for their savior. They won't make peace with America until they are dead.
