@ Saintzak
Nice to see your "holier-than-thou" hyper-religiosity on full display again, Saintzak; you never miss an opportunity to kick Bill Clinton, et al, do you: "It's a full moon; Bill Clinton must have caused it!", "There's a heavy dew on the grass; must be those damned Clintons again" and "Good God...gas is $4 a gallon; Bill Clinton must have had sex with a goat!" You must be the spawn of Karl Rove and Ann Coulter.
Since you're so morally pure and full of pontification (and, just plain full of it!), I'd ask you to be very careful not to let your halo slip down. It might just choke the living sh*t out of you.

A good question, finally...
The question is, other than losing his job and being convicted of a minor federal offense, will there be any other avenues of redress available for those he crushed as the Attorney General of the State of New York?
Never under estimate the party that hyperventilates over others failings but covers up their own.
Elliott should announce that he has prayed about this with his wife. She has forgiven him and so has God and he is moving on with his life. He will not resign.
See how well that plays to the party of hypocrites...
And ozziebear? Right on dude. I remember in the Clinton mess the French couldn't figure out what the fuss was about. Neither could I. I still wonder if Monica was a plant. It was all too convenient, but whatever. The issue was between the three of them. I read an article once that detailed all of the hypocrites that were piously calling for Bill's head. The whole lot of them made his 'crime' look like such a minor issue. Hell, the majority of those hypocrites could have been run out of town on a rail themselves. Plus now with the Vitter and Craig (et all) sagas played out, hanky panky with an intern seems so blasé, so normal, so natural... Maybe that's what made it so bad for those that focused on it, there wasn't any money changing hands, no forced and painful sex. They couldn't relate to it. Consensual sex in the White House after Bush I? W00T!!!
This willingness to exploit others failures when your own are worse is interesting that it works so well for the republicans.
And I thought that the media embedding started and ended with the early War on Iraq...

Vice for Mr Emperor
Dear Svutlana,
I have a big problem and you're the only person in the world who can possibly help me. I paid for sex with some very attractive and talented women, but that isn't the problem: the problem is I was caught and publicly humiliated. I have a long track record of serving the public interest and prosecuting wrongdoers and don't believe that this scandal should derail me, although admittedly I have some fence repair to do at home with my wife.
What should I do, Svutlana?
Emperor
Dear Mr Emperor,
See Svutlana premature short press conference on television and for sure you extreme stupid mens, Mr Emperor. In Svutlandia prostitution is complete legal, but nobody go for prostitute unless need learn how for have sex. Young boy go or mens who need remedial train. Svutlandia prostitute is nice womens with blackboard, teach material and long list of book for read. Give homework and pass or fail mark at end of intercourse, depend on if have prostitute multiple orgasm. This no one bit easy for do!
If go for prostitute in Svutlandia and over age eighteen, name is print inside newspaper beside obituary and everybody laugh because say this mens have absolute no idea how for have sex and have for pay someone for show.
Maybe pay you $4,300 for rent apartment for watch sunset too, Mr Emperor. Svutlana have only one piece vice for you: do wife favour and give nice divorce with big settle so she can find other mens who know how for have sex.
Svutlana

Seen from Europe...
... it seems fundamentally ridiculous that the FBI (of all government agencies) should go after a politician for a private choice (bad as it may be). And whatever his prior circumstances.
You are in fact throwing away an ABLE politician because of an ideal of perfection that should have nothing to do here.
His behaviour may look like hypocrisy because he made his reputation smashing sex rings, but I find the general behaviour just as hypocritical. You have a corrupt government, with leaders who caused the death of thousands and thousands of people on a lie. Going after Eliot Spitzer is a way of occupying the mind with trivia while the main issues remain unresolved.

No Tragedy
I would call this a force for justice in the world. His sanctimony and belligerent manner has come home to roost. Get him out of the Governor's office and restore some integrity to the office.....

Prepare for more Clinton investigations...

Clinton link in Ethanol probe.
Ohhhhhhhh... Bill Clinton advised a company that invested in a Brazilian company that mistreated their employees.
Similar to Abramoff, but different. I'm sure that somewhere, in some dank musty basement, there are plans being hatched for a lengthy investigation to 'find the truth'...

Who did he piss off?
When McCain dared to mention Obama and Pakistan, they ran a sex scandal on him, yet Barrack Obama's Larry Sinclair affair remains off limits as well as George Bush's Jeff Gannon escort service to the White House. The MSM is very particular about which sex scandals are worthy for the public to lather and froth over like rabid dogs straining at the leash to devour propriety's focus of shamming and gotcha!
Sex scandals are only for those who offend the ones who must not be offended.
But really, what is tragic about a hypocrite getting caught with his pants down?
Hey, did you ever hear the one about the former vice president and the way he dies and what he was wearing at the time?
Human beings are just crazy for that sex.
