What AIPAC Wants AIPAC Gets Even Another War Which Their Members Will Not Fight In.
Future historians, if we ever have one, will always be amazed that a small foreign entity's agents in the U.S. could have so much control of U.S. foreign policy. Perhaps what will baffle them most is attempting to explain how a delusional charlatan such as Hargee had so much power. One of the most amazing aspects of religion is it is the only philosophy in which human intelligence is ignored and nonsense is so embedded in the believers minds that they will kill those who disbelieve. I was amused to see Senator Lieberman speaking to one of these Christian evangelical groups somehow forgetting their complete agenda is they are eagerly awaiting the joys of Rapture and Armegeddon in which he will either convert to Christianity or be cast into the eternal flames of hell. Every time Hargee visits Isreal he brings a million dollar gift to them. I imagine the wily Israelis accept such gifts and laugh all the way to the exchequer. I do not know if Hargee's TV presentations are viewed abroad but if so then they must rank in the top ranks of the comedy charts. Steve, USN, WW2

"Bloomsbury"'s post is unfortunately a good example of just the type of anti-Semitic nonsense which often masquerades as serious comment about the middle East. Israel is "exclusionist", which has about 25% of its citizens practicing other religions? What of all the Muslim nations, e.g. Saudi Arabia, where it's illegal to practice any other religion, or Iran where the Jews who weren't murdered were force to flee for their lives? Or Pakistan, whose sole raison d'etre was to be a muslim nation? Or Syria, where any non-Muslim caught practicing another religion is arrested and usually never heard from again?
As I've said before, the criticisms of Israel like those from Bloomsbury are such absurd manipulations of reality to reveal clearly the racist motivations of their authors
It's clear that courageous Israel, in addition to being the only democracy in the MiddleEast, has moral and behavioral standards that the Muslim nations in the area don't even approach--they just export violence, terrorism, and jihad

George W. Bush will bomb Iran after the November elections, when national and worldwide outrage at the carnage will have no effect on Republican electoral chances.
He will bomb Iran ostensibly to set back their nuclear-weapons program, but this will not be the reason. Nor will it be to protect Israel's interests.
He will do it just because he can, and as a final "Fuck you!" to a country that has rejected him and his policies.
Unless the entire Iranian state is leveled, this action will set the stage for an inevitable and totally justifiable Iranian nuclear retaliation -- whether by "suitcase bomb" or sailed by ship into a US coastal city.
The only way to prevent this catastrophe is to begin raising the issue now that no blanket presidential pardon of a president for himself (the language is surely being parsed by White House lawyers even now) will be honored, and that if wars are waged without congressional approval, ex-presidents shall be subject to international war crimes courts.

Desmund Tutu, Jimmy Carter and Daniel Barenboim were all accused by the likes of you of being anti-semitic for standing up for the basic human rights of Palestinians against the apartheid state of Israel (basic rights like being able to travel on the same roads as the Jewish colonists who steal the Palestinians land)- I am glad to be in their company.
But could you try to control your angry bees for a minute and tell me which one of the following facts you dispute?
Warmongering by neocons and the Israel Lobby. Israeli apartheid and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. Israel's deputy defense minister threatens Palestinians with Holocaust. False Charges of anti-semitism to silence critics.

I fail to see why Iranian Jews would need such incentives if they were being murdered by Iran as jjppmd claims (could this be more disinformation from pro-Israel spinners?)

The commodification of the Holocaust in which fighting anti-Semitism is equated with support for Israel's theocractic foundings as a state is the problem. There is no way to commodify the Holocaust that doesn't do violence to the event itself, yet the West has created this perverse exchange of anti anti-Semitism with the disenfranchisement of Palestinian Arabs. That commodity, so heavily traded back and forth by American Christians, Jews, liberal and neo-con, in civil society and government is kiling people.

if you aren't against a palestinian state or a saudi or afghan or armenian, albanian, shiite , sunni, kurdish, hindu, communist, french or capitalist state, why are you against a jewish state. do you really think the jews insist on one for No Cause? i can tell, we would agree on NOTHING but we will still both vote for Obama, which is, oddly enough, the one thing we actually have the power to do.

So while the NY Philharmonic is performing in North Korea, McCrazy, his bizzaro anti-Catholic "minister" friend (and the neocon Jews he wants to see drown in a river of blood so he can be raptured) are planning for WWIII in Iran. I see.
Of course, it makes sense that the world (population 7 billion) should be drawn into an American Jewish neocon anti-Muslim Armageddon for the sake of a Jewish state of six million people, 20% of whose citizens (and growing) are Muslim, while the grandchildren of the original Jewish settlers are moving to Berlin because they can't stand the neocon losers from New Joisey and New Yuk who couldn't make it in the neocon US economy, who have been flooding into their country for freebees (no military service required!), and who, for some reason, remind real Israelis of the Nazis!)
And then there are the anti-semitic Jewish Russian terrorist immigrants who really are Nazis!
