President McCain...
Yeah, I agree with the other post about this competitive race actually hurting the Democratic Party in the long-run.
I don't by this crap any more about a competitive primary race being good for the party and the country. All it's going to do is get one half of the party all worked up and pissed off if their candidate loses...something which I'll freely admit to being guilty of, since I can't STAND the idea of Hillary getting the nomination.
I guess if I were a bigger person than most, I would just hold my nose and vote for whomever the Dem. Party winner is...but I cannot forgive Hillary and her husband for soiling this contest. And it's going to get worse in PA (although Obama doing well in IN and NC might just cancel that out, I dunno what the delegate distribution is after today). That's the ultimate issue I have with the Hillary supporters...that you are so cynical and power-hungry that you WOULD be willing to do anything to get another Clinton in the White House, even tear down another candidate who speaks of hope, not of fear.
But unfortunately, neither candidate is going to back down...so the fighting will go on...to McCain's advantage.
But I guess it won't be the end of the world if McCain gets the nomination (though it will be for anyone outside of the U.S., hawk that he is)...Dems. will still have the Senate and House, and Cousin Obama and Hillary will be in the Senate waiting to greet President McCain. Then we'll see just how bi-partisan he really is.
I'm getting tired of this election already...
