Her campaign is nervously optimistic, but she faces a daunting delegate map -- and perhaps forces beyond her control -- in the race against Obama.
  • What an asshat

"I have had friends say to me, 'I just have this feeling, literally. I have this feeling.' And I think, 'I'm not sure that's healthy.' We're not trying to choose the next winner of "American Idol." We're engaged in the serious work of electing the next president."

Yet another Clinton supporter compares Obama to a contestant on "American Idol," insultingly invalidating anybody who likes Obama based on having good feelings about him.

You know, I am pretty sure there are a lot of Clinton supporters who base their preference on their feelings too, like the numerous people I've seen in Salon's message boards who have written "I feel in my gut she is the right person to vote for," etc.

Support who you want to support. Don't mock other people for making a different choice than you do. Don't demean Obama supporters by assuming they are voting for cheap reasons that you're projecting onto them. Many Obama supporters have quite legitimate reasons for appreciating and prefering him. At the very least you have to grant us that.
