The final Democratic debate produces no miracles for the grouchy former front-runner. Yes, those MSNBC moderators did seem to like Obama better, but even when she's right she sounds wrong.

Mike Madden, Sexist of the Year. 'She sounds wrong even when she's right' does she? Well you know why that is? Because she's a woman. Every woman on earth knows the feeling, believe me, of being right and being dismissed. When people can write into salon and comment on the size of her backside as if that's a POLICY what can you expect? The sexism of the mainstream media is overwhelming. Obama doesn't know who Medvedev is. Hillary had to tell him. Yeah. That rings a bell.

He lacks substance, he lacks experience, he lacks, lacks, lacks but the media loves him. He's a new toy to play with and the fact that he's a sitting duck for the Republicans only makes them smile. Once he's safely in place as the candidate the media and the Republicans will turn on him, big time. And look what they've got to work with. It may seem that old creaky knees McCain can't win but given a candidate the far right can smear as a 'Muslim' and a 'Jihadist' and a 'terrorist' who knows what can happen? My sister told me that even the worst racist male in America would rather vote for a black man than a white woman. I thought she was being cynical. Having had to kick doors down to get to the top of that 19th century male club we call the law, she probably knows a lot more about it than I do.

  • How Exactly Is Obama Being "Condescending"?

I've heard that charge made against him before and I am curious about the psychology behind it.

I think some people (a very small group of people) mistake Obama's coolness in the face of attack as being "condescending."

It's almost as if the critics leveling the charge are watching his professionalism and statemanship during the debates and thinking, "Look at him! Sitting there and being all....polite! He's not even yelling as loudly as Hillary is! He must think he is so much better than the rest of us. How.....condescending!"

After 8 long years of George W Bush we've forgotten what statesmanship and professional actually look like, I think.

I think we're just so use to the Karl Rove style of "debate" wherein everyone is the enemy and debating is defined as just screaming insults at your opponent that when we're confronted with a calm, unflustered response we are viewing that as somehow insulting.

Well if Obama is insulting and "condescending" then give me more of it!

  • speaking of condescending

This is condescending. Hillary, "Shame on You Obama!!".

Hillary likes to fight but Obama is polite, and knows how to defuse Hillary.

  • Hail mary

    This recoverd Catholic cannot resist.

Hail Hillary, full of graces, blessed are thee among women. Blessed is the fruit of thy womb.... who camapings for you so faithfully.

Holy Hillary, mother of god, pray for us sinners, who voted for Obama, now in the hour of our need...to end this primary.

    Amen.

  • OH ENOUGH FREAKIN ALREADY!

HRC is damned if she does - and damned if she doesn't. What nut case would make a comment that when someone is right, they sound wrong unless it's to make sure THEY ARE PERCEIVED AS BEING WRONG? The media is just too obvious.

The media has bitched all the way, every step of the way, in this campaign about HRC: She was this, she needs to do that, and when she does that, then that was wrong too. Who would've thought that in addition to running against other opponents, HRC would have to run AGAINST THE CABLE MEDIA PIMPS TOO WHO SEEM HELL-BENT ON ANNOINTING WHO WILL REPRESENT EACH PARTY?

We always knew that getting a woman elected in this sexist, double-standard, backwards, ever increasingly uneducated and illiterate country would be difficult. I mean, where else but in double-standard America can elected men who proposition each other in public restrooms still keep their offices - and male CEO's can rip off consumers to the tune of billions while cashing checks for multi-million dollar bonuses?

The last time I checked, a choice between yet two more men this November (and I don't care if they are both polka dotted) IS NOT MAKING HISTORY OR AN EARTH-SHATTERING CHANGE FOR THIS COUNTRY. Electing a capable, strong, woman who has taken the trouble to prepare herself for the job, who was also First Lady, who has devoted her life to public service is earth-shattering.

There will be repercussions if Obama is given the free ride t the nomination. You damn well better believe there will be negative consequences. Obama needs to be looking over his Fantasy Island shoulder. For what "the media buildeth up, the media destroyeth too" -and he's next!

The last time I checked, about half of the voters preferred BO and about half preferred HRC. If he had this thing wrapped up then there wouldn't be more debates, more primaries, and most importantly, more delegates to secure.

SO EXCUSE US, POLITICAL PUNDIT CABLE PIMPS AND NASTY ZEALOT OBAMA-ITES, IF THE HRC CAMPAIGN JUST WON'T GO AWAY LIKE A GOOD LITTLE GIRL SO YOU CAN HAVE A BALLOON DROP.

  • @Rambling Rose 22

    You seem angry.

  • Obama bests Clinton again

Here in Texas it looks like latino women are keenly listening to Obama. Maybe you have to be more than a

"mujer" to be a good candidate. Maybe it takes more than ovaries to win the primaries.

  • Not History-Making?

Rambling Rose writes, "a choice between yet two more men this November (and I don't care if they are both polka dotted) IS NOT MAKING HISTORY OR AN EARTH-SHATTERING CHANGE FOR THIS COUNTRY."

I can understand your frustration about the situation HRC finds herself in, and I can understand that you vastly prefer her to Obama, and I can understand that you really want a woman for president.

But do you really have to posit that it's not significant ("is not making history or an earth-shattering change") that a black man might be elected President? Really? Given that less than one hundred and fifty years ago black men and women were slaves in half the states in this country?

If you really believe that it's not making history to elect a black person to the presidency in the United States, then you minimize the historical and continuing presence of racism in this country to a staggering (to me) degree. Or, maybe, you just want to hype your position at the expense of the opposition.
