Hillary Clinton's Texas-size moment

All that mattered about the showdown in Austin was whether she could stop Barack Obama's momentum. Were her powerful closing words a magic bullet?

The letters thread is now closed.

If she fails to win TX and OH and doesn't concede, she becomes Ralph Nader at that point; since at that point she is actively working to destroy the Democratic Party and actively working to get John McCain into the White House

Her political survival depends on Barack Obama losing the general election. If she stays in the race till the bitter end all she's really doing is setting herself up for 2012. A rancorous primary campaign carried out right to the convention even if she can't win will just weaken Obama as far as independant voters go, and galvanize the hardcore Clinton supporters (who seem somewhat unbalanced at this point) to vote for Nader.

Nader is a big problem for Obama and Clinton will see to that.

Hillary Clinton

Pimpin' out America's future.

Nader a Problem?

Nader is an insect. He's so marginal it amazes me.

@saintzack

I think that's it - sometime between the Texas debate and yesterday either she figured out or someone explained to her that her only way into the Whitehouse now is for Obama to be the nominee and lose to McCain. That "shame on you" business is shameful. His campaign has said nothing more negative about her healthcare plan than hers has said about his. His main critique, that simply requiring people to purchase health insurance BY LAW is not the nicest way to achieve universal health insurance, is a bald-faced truth. She's talking about him as if scolding a misbehaving little boy, and it is not appealing. She doesn't care anymore - she's not trying to appeal, just destroy.

Hillary demonstrates the seething temper of a scolding school marm

Go back to Bitch Scool Hillary Hypocracy Clinton.

Villemar @ l0:50 When everything else fails, try the race card....

It worked for OJ didn't it but intelligent people have wised up to that crookedness. You're spitting nails because you have to face the truth which is emerging (ver late) about Oprah's golden boy, Obama. Be sure to keep in touch with reality when Rezko's trial for fraud starts on 3rd March and wonder how Obama got the mansion and land at such a knock-down price. You'll have your explanations, sure thing, but you probably still believe in fairytales and Santa Claus.

"...the mansion and land at such a knock-down price."

Only an issue if there were favors in return: beneficial legislation, or government contracts. But that wasn't the case.

She's and absolute disgrace

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/02/24/hillary-clinton-mocks-bar_n_88194.html

Anyone who can watch this and atill want her to lead the country needs their head examined. She has not merely reinforced all of the negative notions surrounding the clintons, she has made them even worse.

She's finished. Not just in this election, but she's committing career suicide right before everyone's eyes. The saddest part is she's doing it to be as destructive as possible.

Hillary, 2012? The Democratic Party won't have anything to do with you. Enjoy your retirement. Maybe you can get a co-host gig on The View.

Go watch video link on p. 75 from Saint Zak

Hillary insults more than 50% of the people who have voted in the Democratic primaries. She actually complains about Obama's "big rallies" ... while being green with envy that she can't draw his crowds. Hillary looks completely deranged and unhinged and, yes, hysterical. In both senses of the word. She's basically screaming, "It isn't FAIR!"

She's officially jumped the shark. To put it another way, her campaign has officially made the transition from Tragedy to Comedy, starring Hillary Clinton as Joan Crawford.

Sunday, February 24, 2008 03:09 PM

Hey Hillary!

Eat shit cos it's OVER!

Sunday, February 24, 2008 03:11 PM

Words matter, but so do the facts...

No matter what she says or does, Hillary will be burned in effigy by the media until she concedes the race. As one other commenter here says, it was a good thing Obama got to answer the questions after her, which enabled him to simply repeat all her points, then add that the difference between them was that he could provide leadership. What kind of leadership is it to be delivering other politicians' speeches and stealing debate answers from your opponent? Obama's candidacy has always been a lie, cooked up by Karl Rove and the G.O.P. in 2004, when they replaced their candidate against him in the senate race with an incompetent sure to lose. Rove knew Hillary Clinton was coming down the pike in 2008, and there wasn't a Republican alive that could beat her in the general election, so they invested their money and political strategists into fielding this younger, African American "agent of change". His 17-year relationship to a Chicago slumlord will make him a lost cause in the general election. It sure would have been nice if Clinton had brought this stuff up during her "Texas-size moment". For an article I've posted about the Rove strategy, click on my screen name.

Hillary's campaign is like the ill fated Hindenburg

Going up in a big fireball of infamy!

Time for moveon.org to MOVEON.OUT

I tried to tell you Obama was a bomb and that there was a truckload of dirt on him.

Can't tell the lefto's anyway. moveon has led them off a cliff AGAIN.

@factcheck

AGree, but she had it from all angles. She had to at least somewhat pander to the nut left , while for Obama the harder he hit her hte happier the kooks were.

I think at this point she realizes it's all gloves off. We can only pray with all the "patriotism" scandals now and his assocition with domestic terrorists expose (which are all true unfortuantely), that the people of Ohio and Texas have more sense that a carton of racist blacks in Virginia.

Becaue you KNOW you can't depend on the whackos in Vermont for any common sense even if it had many delegates.

Who'd have ever thought we'd be counting on Texas for good sense to save us.

Sunday, February 24, 2008 03:50 PM

Anon @ 3:38,

Obama has the same degree of "association" with domestic terrorists as I have with Kevin Bacon. Post a link proving that Obama plans to dissolve the government and institute a vegan anarchist collective commune as a form of government, or else shut the fuck up.

By the way, readers, this new smear is being coordinated by the Clinton campaign.

factcheckers

You have a lot in common with "factcheck", who posted that only one member of Congress voted against the war resolution.

You "factcheckers" have a lot of problems checking facts.

It's all about the Illuminati donchaknow!

The Republican pecker-heads go after Obama's patriotism

This is a case of aholes who steered America straight into a stupid war that's only getting uglier all the time. If it's unpatriotic to say the war in Iraq is a massive mess of mass destruction, then millions and millions of America's will have to be tried as traitors. The war is what has sunk Hillary, and it's what will sink any smug son of a bitch who thinks a man's patriotism is measured by his enthusiasm for this idiotc mess in the middle east. Keep clutching at the air all you swiftshitters. Your cheap turds are gonna be going out with a final and definative flush!
