And Hillary's record is better than Obama's, even just her Senate record. If you don't want to vote for Hillary, fine, you don't have to. But don't pretend that it's because Obama's record is more distunguished than hers, because he has no record at all.
I invite you to peruse their respective Wikipedia entries -- which I assume have been vetted if not written by their campaigns -- under "Senate". Here's a sample:
"Partnering first with Sen. Dick Lugar (R-IN), and then with Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), Obama successfully introduced two initiatives bearing his name. "Lugar-Obama" expands the Nunn-Lugar cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons, including shoulder-fired missiles and anti-personnel mines.[61]
The "Coburn-Obama Transparency Act" provides for the web site USAspending.gov, managed by the Office of Management and Budget. The site lists all organizations receiving Federal funds from 2007 onward and provides breakdowns by the agency allocating the funds, the dollar amount given, and the purpose of the grant or contract.[62]
Mrs. Clinton's entry is mostly about her votes (perhaps that's what you mean by "record"?) but does mention a bill she introduced, "the Family Entertainment Protection Act, intended to protect children from inappropriate content found in video games" which did not pass.

For shame...Even Newsweek stands by Clinton but his "Team" continues with the lies...
I think a lot of people are "missing" the real point:
Obama used/borrowed a speech exactly, not only word for word, but virtually, cadence for cadence.
What is remarkable is how it shows how much of his oratory is borrowed, to the finest detail.
He is a gifted speaker, an intelligent man.
But much of his eloquence, is not truly his own.
Obama himself is truly more ordinary, more human. And he will make mistakes. He just hasn't been in the position to yet. But it will happen. It's unavoidable - it happens to all leaders. Then he will be seen differently. How many of his supporters who are currently blinded by his newness, will just turn away in disappointment from him then, and look to the freshest, most gleamingly unknowable new candidate?
Obama has a lot to offer, but he is not so immeasurably gifted and singular, as he is currently believed by some.
This too, shall pass...
It would be interesting to see how he would do without his whole team behind him.
I don't know which is more cruel, to remind you of reality - or not to remind you of reality.
...simply trying to stir up discord. I can't wait until March 5th when Hillary concedes and we can finally see an end to these amazing contortions of non-logic put forward by these Republican trolls posing as Hillary supporters here.
(Because I really don't think Hillary supporters can possibly be that completely batshit insane).
After Mach 5th at least you'll be unmasked (or as unmasked as any Anonymouse can be). Enjoy your next week and a half, Republican scumbags.
I'm scared for AKA's students
The rules about academic dishonesty and plagiarism were available in the student handbook of every place I taught. I merely carry out holding students to the standards of the academy. Some people will fail because they do not meet the requirements of the course given. Plagiarizing means that they are not meeting the requirements of the course. I would not be doing my job if I did not discourage students from plagiarism and did not require them to rewrite in iffy circumstances. I referred them to the department director and he referred them to the dean for possible expulsion in egregious cases.
I failed plagiarizers, as I was expected to do.
I was always fair to my students. I explained on the first day of class what plagiarism was and that they would fail if they did it. I went into detail for over an hour giving them examples in class before their first major essay was due. Few people had a problem understanding. There will always be some people whose intellect or skills are such that they are not capable of passing. Most, given proper time and attention to the assignments, could and did pass if they did not plagiarize.
And all we REALLY WANT TO HEAR YOU SAY is to admit that Hillary plagarized as well. I'm glad that everybody else is going for this goody-goody nicey-nice crap but you 're holding people to a double STANDARD. Admit that Hillary plagarized or really refute the charges.
See my previous post. However, I doubt that you really want to understand. You only want to defend your candidate. There is no double standard. The is just the standard.
And yes having a ghost writer, uncredited, is most definitely plagarizing.
So why don't you get me a professional citation for this. I write and have actually read a bit about ghostwriting in Writer's Digest. The conventions for different types of writing are different. Lots of people use ghostwriters. To my understanding, whether or not credit is given is part of the initial contract. The solution is simple. If the ghostwriter feels that she was not properly credited per the contract, she can sue using the contract as proof.
You are mixing matters of morality with matters of legality.
What really scares me is the fact that you are a college professor. And you say 15% of students are trying to plagarize. I don't doubt that but if YOU'RE the one trying to fail them out I weep for the future.
I didn't find it necessary to fail most of them. When I made them revise and revise to meet the standard, many of them dropped out because they simply did not want to do the hard work required to actually write their own stuff. It was really very odd. People who were perfectly capable of passing the classes based upon their own writing skills sometimes could not resist plagiarizing because they wanted an A. A's are just not guaranteed. I only gave about five to seven A's per class.
Please, PLEASE for the sad state of American education in this country learn what plagarism ACTUALLY IS before you fail out any more students. To be honest it really fuckin PISSES me off. Bright young people's futures and lives are in your hands and you're deciding their fate based on some odd, twisted warped sense of plagarism and gender politics you have. STOP IT NOW!
Nope. I actually consulted others before flunking anyone for plagiarism. You don't understand how college works apparently. All of us who flunked students for plagiarism actually had other teachers or the director read the actual plagiarized work before making a decision. Another thing that is becoming more common is that on final exit exams, teachers don't actually grade their own student's work. They trade their students papers for the student papers of another teacher. That way, any subjective feelings about a particular student was eliminated.
The researched essay is what is tricky and that is where students are most likely to cheat. It is important to review a draft and go over it with the student, showing the importance of MLA citation, and looking for those areas where the student may not have properly quoted or paraphrased. I always required students to provide copies of some of the quoted and paraphrased material to make certain they understood how to do it correctly.
A properly taught writing the class that leans heavily on revision winnows out the serial plagiarizers very quickly. They have a bit of trouble actually revising a plagiarized paper. People don't really learn to write as much as they learn to revise. Rewriting and re-visioning are essential to becoming a good writer.
