The man has never been convicted of a crime. After his involvement in the Weather Underground, he straightened up and has written more than a dozen books on education. Today he is a well-respected professor at the University of Chicago, the top university where Barack Obama taught for 10 years. In 2001, Ayers donated $200 to Obama's campaign fund. Oh, and they had dinner together once. Shoot, fool, I've donated more to Obama than this man has.

And I find it quite interesting that HRC's campaign chooses to criticize Obama over this matter when her husband pardoned another member of the Underground and also several members of the FALN.

Either post a link proving that Barack Obama has uttered the phrase "off the pigs" or else shut the f@ck up.

I must say reading many of the posts regarding this article reinforces my belief that Obama is dead on in his quest to change the tone of our political debate. From many passionate posters there is a vituperativeness that is disheartening, especially since we're theoretically all on the same side. I think this is partially due to the anonymous nature of the internet where people fell no accountability for whatever venom comes out of their keyboard. Also, it seems that many people have internalized a kind of Rovean way of attacking people they disagree with--facts don't matter and are manipulated and "enemies" are given no quarter. Either you're with us or against us. If you're an opponent, you're either stupid or evil. I am a proud Obama supporter and I don't know if he'll be able to change the tone of our politics but I thank him for bringing the issue to the foreground and trying. He rightly argues that it is possible to make a strong principled stand without denigrating your opponents.

Well, those who were killed by Ayers and his gang couldn't "straighten up" as that's beyond the capability of a corpse. Whether he was convicted or not is a moot point. He went on the run, don't you know. Are you also prepared to deny that he was one of the leaders of the Weathermen whose purpose was the revolutionary overthrow of the government of the United States. So now he's a university luminary? Has he ever had to pay compensation for the riots and jailbreaks in which the Weathermen were involved? Has he ever expiated his crimes in a meaningful way?

Why did Alice Palmer introduce Barack Obama to anarchists such as Ayers and Dohrn unless she thought the three would have a lot in common? The Hyde Park set soon forgot poor Alice as the new kid on the block had much more potential. Oh, Obama only had dinner with Ayers once and you have the receipts to prove it but he did have two lattes with Dohrn when they discussed the importance of education or something, Obama is a real honeypot because Rezko also found the practically unknown young man's company irresistible as well. The topic of conversation then would undoubtedly have been property. Fume as much as you like but you're going to need an exorcist to get rid of all this when the heavy-hitters come out to play.

Why don't you do your own research? The man has a website. He has a Wikipedia article. There have been numerous books written about the Weathermen. He has written numerous books himself.

Or you can just hang out here like a booger hanging out of a nose, and blow your snot all over the Internet. I think that's a little more to your liking, isn't it?

You can ask all the rhetorical questions you want, sugarpie, but what we have here is a $200 donation given to Obama by a professor he met at the University of Chicago. Somehow I'm not too worried about this one.

So none of these facts about Obama are true...You mean he didn't vote present about a zillion times, didn't brush off Gavin Newsom because he was gay, didn't get a sweetheart deal on a house and land in Chicago, didn't accuse Bill Clinton of being racist, didn't plagarize his famous catch phrase, doesn't go to a church with a White hating preacher, didn't attend a Muslim Madrassa in Indonesia, Doesn't associate with known murderers, didn't vote for a controversial nuclear deal...As well, we all misunderstood Michelle when she stated that she wasn't proud of America/Americans and also wrote a thesis about Whitey that's been conveniently locked up...I could forgive all of these but c'mon "Ted Kennedy"...Please say it aint so!!!!Why does Obama need to surround himself with known killers...

Take off the tinfoil hat, pull your thumb out of your ass, and think. If he were everything you say he is, would he be winning? Um, no. The fact is, everything in your letter is false. Now, I could spend the next 45 minutes composing a devastating response that cited impeccable sources and proved you wrong, but I know it wouldn't convince you, so I'll just invite you to stick your thumb back up your ass, because at least that way you'll have to type your next hit letter with one hand.

I'm not interested in reading any books by a maker of mayhem and murder i.e. Bill Ayers. The dead are still dead while he lives in clover. There's no difference between him and Timothy McVeigh except for ideology. McVeigh got jolted by Old Sparky but Ayers lives on to fight another day and to make a (small) contribution in monetary terms to the Obama campaign. Charles Manson might like to contribute as well because all that "unity" mantra sounds much better than "helter-skelter".

She clearly demonstrated that based on merit she is the most qualified, capable, brilliant, experienced, tested, strong, fighter that America needs in a President at this time.

We simply do not have time for another inexperienced, unprepared President. No more learn as you go, the two presidential learning curve is too steep for this country to endure. We do not need someone who will be totally dependent on the advice of others when it comes to matters of the economy,foreign affairs, national security, or even a truly comprehensive health care plan for all Americans. If Obama is elected he will be a Democratic version of George Bush. When Bush doesn't know what to about problems he used to call Karl Rove. Who will Obama call? He will have to call someone because he does not have the knowledge or experience to arrive a the correct solutions on his own. Nor does he have the political knowledge, experience and wisdom to determine whether the suggestions that he may receive are the best ones to follow for the benefit of American interests at home or abroad.

Could America really be more sexist than racist? It appears that a clearly qualified woman is being pushed aside for a totally unqualified man. I wonder if the race would have turned out the same way that it has thus far if Obama were a black female and Hillary were a white male?

Answer: Of course not, an unqualified African American female would have been laughed out of the race by now. It seems that America willexcept any man over a qualified female and that's an even greater injustice.

Oh, and by the way, I am an African-American male that proudly supports Hillary based on her record,experience, and knowledge of what it takes to effect real and lasting CHANGE in the lives of all Americans. Millions of people in this country simply need HELP, not HOPE!
