Your stance would be that America was wrong to bomb Germany during WWII.
My stance is that in an extreme case which is highly unlikely to come about, sometimes war is needed. If it can be avoided, it should be, but there are limits to this.
It is not McCain singing "Bomb Iran" or Hillary voting for a measure that declared the lawful army of Iran a terrorist organisation.
It is acknowledging that there are times when war is called for.

Um, was Germany a US ally during WW2 when the US bombed it?
I wrote: "Ah, ok, I see, so actually BOMBING another sovereign country that is supposed to be an ally is okay with you, but merely calling the leader-in-transition of one "soulless" is not?"
As far as I understand it, Pakistan and Russia are US allies at the moment. No?
But they sure are sexist and I see a lot of gender discrimination going on! If Obama was a female, he would have been gone a long time ago. Obama and Hillary are not presented on even platforms at all! It is ok for Obama to play the race card, but when Hillary makes a comment about "being prepared to work in the all boys club of politics," she was slammed by every one that she was using the gender card and has not used it since! Obama is just a chauvinistic pig and so are his supporters! The only women that do not support a woman for President are just threatened because then the bar would be raised for women to act like women and not helpless and ignorant little girls!
What has this world come to when we prefer a man who lies, plagiarizes, uses the same dirty tactics as every one else, has no substance, has no experience, his wife has hated America and has lived apathetically until now apparently, someone who is just as arrogant as Bush, some one who tries to be all things to all people....but we do not appreciate history, the people who gave us history, or all of the accomplishments of Hillary? Hillary is forbidden to use her experience; however, Obama's very little experience is blown way out of proportion! I do not get it! It goes against everything I have ever known! I was raised to know that you work hard, have goals, achieve goals and work your way up, not start from the top! Wow! That is positive change!
Americans are not racist but they are sexist! The results prove it!
There was a group of committed people who got our butts out there and knocked on the doors and made calls. No small feat when the temperature is 1 degree! It was great to see how well-organized the campaign was. I also don't think he could have done it without the support of the WI SEIU. They're great! Last night was sweet for those of us who volunteered. :) I hope OH took note. I always feel like WI & OH are similar. (You know, in that latte-drinking, prius driving, birkenstock wearing, trust fund way. Ha!)
@Person
Thanks for your response. I agree with you 100%. But my question was about the vote, not the invasion. The invasion was bullshit, outrageous and a disaster. But I think the vote was reasonable given the circumstances at the time. Bush abused the authority given to him.... but, we can agree to disagree.
Hillary should concede to Obama.
I do not think so.
Ann Richards COULD have been president.
Hillary is less than the sum of her parts, that is her problem, not her sex. Not by a long shot
that because she snagged a charming political genius, she herself is ALSO a charming political genius.
VERY wrong. We are seeing the results now.
Nobody is OWED a presidency. If there is a negative female trait, it is this sense of entitlement in Hill's camp.
his wife has hated America
One of the things I hate about America is that we are so tolerant of this kind of playground-level argument.
If Michelle Obama had said "I have always been proud of America, even when our forces invaded Iraq after a spineless Congress enabled our idiot president to go adventuring abroad, but now I am even prouder of America, because people are voting in massive numbers for my husband who opposed the insanity from the get-go."
Would that be alright with you? Would you now be ready to vote for Obama?
Thought not.
Obama is winning in because he has a very well managed campaign, and the voting n public wants NEW ideas, not more of the same.
Hillary would be much easier to defeat in the general election than Obama. Many conservative republican will sit out the general because McCain is a pretty moderate republican. However if Hillary is the candidate right wing conservatives will come out in droves to vote for McCain because they hate the Clintons. Hillary supporters, must not remember the 90s. Also many progressive Democrats won't vote for Hillary either as she is a centrist. I know Democrats who would vote for McCain over Hillary and I know republicans who have told me that if Obama is the candidate they will vote for Obama over McCain in the general election, but they will not vote for Hillary. Also Independents will vote for Obama, but not Hillary. Besides he has brought millions of new voters into this election and he will bring them along to the general election.
If Hillary keeps up the negative attacks she will be considered even more divisive, and her campaign is advising her to do this. She is losing super delegates everyday to Obama.
If Obama wins TX and Oh, Hillary should bow out graciously. Unfortunately nobody thinks she will be that gracious.
the people that are advising her areliving in the past and giving her bad advice.
Hillary doe snot have as much legislative or grassroots oganizing experience as Obama, He camaping is mismanaged, telling me her white house may be the same.
Much of the initial coverage about Fort Hood turned out to be wrong. Is there anything wrong with that?
