  • This is scary!

I wonder how many of those cross-over Republicans are voting for Obama to make sure he is the nominee because they know he will be easier to defeat than Hillary. Michelle has already started a fire storm with her unpatriotic comments which are sure to distance middle of the roaders. She is cold and scary. I'm afraid that Americans will not put this pair into the White House! It is painful watching the Dem's implode!

  • Ok, that's just dumb

So all the non- hardcore democrats (i.e. everyone who didn't vote for Hillary) that voted in Wisconsin today just did it so that McCain could win the general.

Really? Do you really believe this?

  • Fear Not

Every objective measure that I've seen indicates that Senator Obama will be a stronger general election candidate than Senator Clinton, yet Clinton supporters often maintain the opposite without supporting evidence. Why?

  • Yes, I really believe that the Democrats have a more electable choice

I think Obama is on a roll and I fear he is a loser for the Democrats. I wish both he and Hillary had stayed out of this race. No, I don't think everyone who voted for Obama are cross-over Republicans, but it is interesting that white males are voting for him when they haven't done so in past elections, plus this article indicated there were cross-overs. Also, Michelle Obama has an attitude...this is obvious and it will be a big turn-off to the American people before this race is over!

  • Occam's Razor

This principle, simply stated, says that you should pick the simplest or most obvious explanation to explain why or how an event took place.

Barack Obama won because the electorate likes him better. While I'm not happy with this outcome, this seems to be the simplest and most obvious explanation.

All those offering any other explanation for his victories should leave the room. There is nothing wrong with Hillary; people like Obama better.

  • response to paranoid democrats

A couple of you posted that republicans voted for Obama because they want McCain to win the general? What the hell kind of right-wing conspiracy crap from the Clintons have you swallowed? Take some anti-psychotic pills, dimwits, and stop insulting Obama supporters.

I am in my late 30s, with a PhD, and I teach at a university. I don't follow anyone blindly or support a fad. I may be an idealist, but that is better than believing that life is lived in the bottom of the pond scum that is politics.

I have had it with Clinton and her minions insulting our intelligence. Anyone who has spent any time studying anything would know that Clinton is a neo-conservative. Her divisiveness will allow her to accomplish almost nothing if she were to become president. Moreover, I, as a woman who has been hit on by scummy married men during my single years, find Sen. Clinton's support for her predator husband disgusting and insulting to me and many other women.

I, and many of my students, are proud to be Obama supporters. And we are supporters because we know that we are individually amazing people, and somehow that amazing quality doesn't translate to the country or overseas. We have allowed others like Clinton, Bush, and others to silence us.

We support Obama because he is not only an idealist, but also because he is an intellectual idealist. I rather stand with him than the scum that is the predator-co-dependent freak machine that is the Clintons.

  • Michelle Obama is Amazing

Maybe she's irked some people. But it's her sarcasm, wit, and unapologetic "authenticity" (does such a thing exist?) that made me vote Obama over Hillary in the first place.

  • "Michelle Obama has an attitude"

This. This is your big political theory? Right. People are choosing Obama because they'd rather see him be president than Hillary. it's no great mystery.

And, seeing as how McCain's attacks on Obama are pretty much a mirror of what Hillary has been saying with no success, I think he is in pretty good shape.

  • Neo conservative?

Re: "I have had it with Clinton and her minions insulting our intelligence. Anyone who has spent any time studying anything would know that Clinton is a neo-conservative."

She and Obama have the same voting record. What does that make him?

  • Arrogant elitists do not constitute the bulk of American voters!

Anonymous, your condescending attitude turns me off. Idealism is okay but it does not win elections. Who cares about your Ph.d., anyway!!!

  • I like Michelle too

She's not a put on patriot like Mcain's plastic surgery disaster spouce.

  • Fear

sesanders: apparently you have succumbed to the politics of fear.

  • About Michelle Obama

God forbid a woman with an incredible education also have wit and a sense of humor. Burn her at the stake!

Listen, Mrs. Obama IS the WOMAN of the future, which is what Sen. Clinton doesn't understand. We are the women of the FUTURE. We are funny, witty, and caustic, WITH personality. We are also mothers and independent wives (not co-dependent wanna-be-feminists). We make breakfast for our husbands and do the laundry and we also expect dinner to be made FOR us. We have our own careers and we are equals with our partners. We nurse our babies and clean up dirt dragged in by our soccer-playing sons. We wear stilletos with lingerie.

Are we threatening? Hell yeah. And we would have it no other way.

Mrs. Obama, Michelle, you go, girl!

  • Give credit where it belongs

I really hate to say this about my fellow americans but it seems to me that we are proving that we can not think for ourselves at all. This man has been a promotion of the press. We find out this week that this great orator does not even use his own slogans let alone his own words. They come not from a great person of the past that everyone knows where they came from but from an unknown governor of Mass.of which I hear has not been so successful at the job. Yet the press goes out and defends him, his wife says that for the first time in her adult life she is proud of us americans and the press defends her. This has been a constant of the press they make Obama out to be not a presidential candidate but a savior, and I don't need a savior, I already have one, but I do need someone for president that knows what they are doing. Remember the last time the press sold us a bill of goods? No? How about when GW was telling us lies about Irag, and instead of checking it out (as they are suppose to do they sold it to us. That sales job cost us 4,000 lives (so far) what will this sales job cost us?
