How Obama won Wisconsin

The Illinois senator did well with campus liberals, white men, crossover Republicans and independents, but he made inroads into Clinton's working-class base too.

    "The Politics of Fear..."

...is absolutely the one thing I want to get away from most, when the Bush Presidency is over. The Clintons are spewing it with a gusto that would make Dick Cheney proud. I keep thinking they've hired Karl Rove's evil twin. (and do you KNOW how evil that would make twin #2???)

Idealism? Give me a break! They're all selling ideals. Clinton's "35 years of experience" means diddly squat to me. It's just words. True, her words are duller than Obama's, but they are no more substantive, & touch me far less, than what he has to say.

As far as healthcare, I'm not sure I want what she's selling, anyway, but let's see what happens when/if they get into office. I remember a lot of flaws in her old plan.

And ready for the Presidency? What makes a person 'ready?" Hanging out in politics for the bulk of your adult life, or having done, as Obama did, what I consider considerably more. And he didn't do it riding the coat-tails of a charismatic mate.

They vary in one way - he was against the war in Iraq, & Clinton was among those who shoved it down their throats, as she fussed about flag burning and video games.

He's doing a great job so far, getting better, and stronger. She's withering. And I'm pleased to see it.
