The retarded, fake uproar over Michelle Obama's innocuous non-statement
Here is what Michelle Obama actually said:
“What we have learned over this year is that hope is making a comeback. It is making a comeback and let me tell you something, For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment. I have seen people who are hungry to be unified around some basic common issues. It has made me proud.”
So while she may have been merely "proud" of her country before, now she is "really proud," as in, actually filled with feelings of significant, palpable pride.
If you find offense with her statement, then you are either:
(1) Reading-comprehension challenged, or...
(2) Pathetically desperate to find a fault, ANY fault, with something Obama, his wife, or anybody associated with his campaign might have done, in hope it will hurt his chance to win the nomination.
This goes out to all of you who are attempting to use this, dishonestly, to smear Obama:
-- If that's truly all you've got, and if you truly feel you need to stoop that low in order to win some kind of rhetorical points, then you have already lost. You have lost touch with everything that is true and honest in yourself and in the American ideals for democracy, decency, justice, fairness, etc. Wake up! We're all better than this! Or at least, we're supposed to be...

@AnaHadWolves (1)
AnaHadWolves: I've got you pegged as yet another anti-Obama shiller who apparently will do ANYTHING to score points against the candidate who stands in the way of Hillary Clinton getting into office.
AnaHadWolves wrote: "First, play both sides of the race issue, alternately being down wid da homies and up with the yuppies. That's called playing both ends against the middle for political advantage."
Obama has been pretty consistently "himself" throughout the campaign, though certainly he has tried to appeal to all segments of society. That's called "campaigning for office." Do you deny that Hillary Clinton has also tried to play to a variety of different people as well? If you would deny this, then you are being dishonest. If you admit it, then you also must admit that Obama is doing nothing questionable.
AnaHadWolves: "Second, make sure that black politicians, personalities and everyday peeps vote for him based simply/mostly on his color..not his policies or positions."
How would Obama "make sure" that anybody supports him because he's black? All he can do is attempt to appeal to people. How can you claim to know why people support him? Isn't it possible that many black people support him because they like his policies, and then they also happen to like the man as well?
AnaHadWolves: "Plus, make sure that you call anyone who is black and doesn't vote for him either an Uncle Tom or a self-hating African-American."
Your reference to Uncle Tom is racist on its face. You should be ashamed of yourself for even bringing that shit up. I defy you to supply one speck of evidence that Obama or his campaign have done anything that would make any black person feel that anything short of supporting Obama was a betrayal. Come on, let's hear your evidence. I am very interested to hear where anybody associated with the Obama campaign used the term "Uncle Tom" or "self-hating African-American."
AnaHadWolves: "Third, when he puts his foot in his mouth, plagiarizes speeches, changes position(s) or is disagreed with by other Democrats, make sure that you call those who point those things out as being "racist.""
You truly have no shame. Obama was caught borrowing a single phrase from Mario Cuomo, which Cuomo later said he had recommended Obama use. That's not plagiarism! It certainly isn't "plagiarizing speeches." What is your problem with being honest? Are you that desperate? Somebody else on here found an instance where Hillary Clinton plagiarized, except in her case it was a wholesale theft and not a borrowed term. What's your defense of that? Is it magically okay if Hillary does it but not if Obama does? What's with your double-standard?
It's pretty obvious to anybody with half a heart that Obama has done no actual plagiarism. He wrote two books (without a ghost writer -- I wonder if Hillary Clinton can say the same?) and he writes or co-writes most of his speeches. There's no defense for faking accusations of plagiarism, unless you're just completely desperate to make him look bad any way you can prior to an election....
I have also heard very few accusations of racism by Obama or his campaign in response to various attacks. The only accusations of racism have been in response to specifically racially charged things, like when Bill Clinton downplayed Obama's South Carolina primary win by comparing it to Jesse Jackson's win. Even then, I don't think Obama or any of his top advisors used the term "racist" (correct me if I'm wrong -- with a link or reference).
In fact, Obama has been quite careful to avoid charging other people with racism since there's an obvious double-edged element to that, and Obama doesn't want to get side-tracked with accusations. Instead he tries to play to his strengths as a candidate, which I think we can all agree is a respectable approach. If you have heard charges of racism, then they may have come from supporters like myself, who find your eagerness to bring "Ungle Tom" bullshit into the discussion to be extremely low and self-degrading. You are one of the Clinton supporters who I look at and I think, "What is going on in this person's head? Why does common ethics go out the window just to support a favorite candidate?"
AnaHadWolves: "Fourth, be very surprised when supporters of other Democrats fail to support Senator Obama with any enthusiasm...if there's any support at all...because of 1, 2 and 3 above."
This is a bizarre statement. All sorts of "supporters of other Democrats" are now supporting Obama. The majority, in fact, if the last EIGHT primaries are any indication.
