Oh my God!
Michelle said she was, for the first time in her adult life, REALLY proud to be an American.
Here's the whole quote:
"What we've learned over this year is that hope is making a comeback. It is making a comeback and let me tell you something, for the first time in my adult lifetime, I'm really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment. I've seen people who are hungry to be unified around some basic common issues, and it's made me proud. And I feel privileged to be a part of even witnessing this, traveling around states all over this country and being reminded that there is more that unites us than divides us..."
She didn't say she wasn't proud before. She said that she was PROUDER. And I have to say that if I were her and I had traveled the country in a political campaign and met great people and seen many of them voting for my husband, I would probably be PROUDER of my country as well.
So go back to Free Republic, fool. Seriously, either post a link of her burning an American flag, or else SHUT. UP.
The woman is prouder of her country now that she sees that people are willing to move past partisan bullsh#t and vote for change. And so am I. Am I unpatriotic too?

The politics of patriotism
Also known as rightwing claptrap and the last resort of scoundrels.

forget the fried fish
when in Milwaukee, the word is Usinger;
remember "U S I N G E R", the best old-style German sausage anywhere
when in Racine (next door to Milwaukee), the word is
"Kringle"
"K R I N G L E"
if you do not know what "kringle" is, then I feel sorry for you and your utterly deprived taste buds
if you have never had Usinger sausage, then I feel sorry for you and your defunct sensory organs
if you want cheese put to the best use possible, then travel from Milwaukee south to Springfield Illinois and say,
"I want a horseshoe!"

Hillary Clinton Plagiarized
From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Jan. 11, 2008
An interview with Mario Cuomo, former governor of New York:
"Indeed, Mrs. Clinton made some of the same arguments Sunday in New Hampshire when she defended her earnest speaking style by saying, in an indirect reference to Mr. Obama, "you campaign in poetry, you govern in prose."
That particular political maxim was first uttered in a 1985 speech at Yale University-- by Mr. Cuomo.
"She didn't attribute it to me, although it's in Bartlett's Quotations and they did," the former governor said, laughing."

The Obama Plan
First, play both sides of the race issue, alternately being down wid da homies and up with the yuppies. That's called playing both ends against the middle for political advantage.
Second, make sure that black politicians, personalities and everyday peeps vote for him based simply/mostly on his color..not his policies or positions. Plus, make sure that you call anyone who is black and doesn't vote for him either an Uncle Tom or a self-hating African-American.
Third, when he puts his foot in his mouth, plagiarizes speeches, changes position(s) or is disagreed with by other Democrats, make sure that you call those who point those things out as being "racist."
Fourth, be very surprised when supporters of other Democrats fail to support Senator Obama with any enthusiasm...if there's any support at all...because of 1, 2 and 3 above.
As a life-long Democrat, I'm turned off by the coterie of Obama sycophants who direct crassness, rudeness and vitriol at other Democratic candidates and their supporters. They can't believe that another candidate just might have more real experience, be a better President or have an easier time defeating the Republicans than Obama.
In any event, Obama will have to win over Republicans, Independents...and, Democrats...to win in November. So far, he's turning off a huge swath of Democrats; let's see him win without us.

@Anahadwolves,
your bizarre and disjointed letter says far more about you than it does about Senator Obama. I'd ask you to document the "sources" of this drivel you post, but you'd probably just post a link to that smear e-mail that falsely alleges Obama is a Muslim.

Obama is More Free Market Then Hillary
As much as it threatens to shatter skulls, the fact is that the black candidate is the more free market one. He opposes universal health care and opposes blanket bailouts for mortgage loans. As much as democrats may typically assume the negro mind is to feeble to grasp a free market orientation...

@Rosemary Regello and others
Rosemary Regello (aka factcheck2) wrote: "...he's got Karl Rove's dirty tricks apparatus (including bogus polling outfits) churning out Hillary-demise and Hillary-hatred round the clock."
Source? You are actually trying to say that Obama is somehow aligned with Karl Rove? Seriously? Please, let's see your ACTUAL EVIDENCE, not just your empty claim. What is the evidence? I mean actual evidence, not "it seems like they're connected to me because I just feel it in my gut."
Rosemary Regello: "And not a single former democratic presidential candidate in the last eight years has come out and endorsed Clinton, even though they all know Barack spent one year in the U.S. Senate before launching his presidential campaign, and how absurd is that?"
Who's fault is it that these people are endorsing Obama? Is it Obama's fault? Or is it Hillary's fault? Did Obama do something sinister to make them endorse him? Did he pull some hidden, Rovian strings? Or did he just demonstrate to them that he was the best candidate?
Rosemary Regello writes: "For more on the Rove strategy and and Obama controversies that are not being reported, please see the article I've posted at thecityedition.com or click on the screen name below."
I read your article, start to finish. It sucks ass. It's poorly written and poorly thought out. It bleeds "I LOVE HILLARY AND I HATE ANYBODY WHO STANDS IN HER WAY!" Seriously, you call yourself a real reporter? Your entire article is just a massive work of political shilling B.S. If you applied half of the critical approach to Hillary Clinton that you do to Barack Obama, she'd be toast. What is your true motive? You just want a woman in the White House to satisfy your feminist yearnings, or what?
Everybody: Here's an example of the lame "reporting" on Rosemary Regello's web site. This is from the article after her "Barack Obama is Evil Incarnate" article:
"Citing the Mayan calendar, Vedic mythology, cryptic Egyptian hieroglyphs, the Hopi Indians and other reputable sources, some amateur history detectives think mankind really is approaching an "end times" scenario."
Yep.... right after Rosemary Regello's article about how Barack Obama is actually Karl Rove in blackface, she has another article that is full of doomsday New Age idiocy straight out of the pamphlet given to you by an over-medicated street hippie circa 1989.
Rosemary, stop hawking your pathetic newspaper article on Salon.com. Call us when you learn to do actual reporting that isn't based on your own fantasy wish fulfillment and inchoate, hostile desire to deceive readers.
