The retarded, fake uproar over Michelle Obama's innocuous non-statement
Here is what Michelle Obama actually said:
“What we have learned over this year is that hope is making a comeback. It is making a comeback and let me tell you something, For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment. I have seen people who are hungry to be unified around some basic common issues. It has made me proud.”
So while she may have been merely "proud" of her country before, now she is "really proud," as in, actually filled with feelings of significant, palpable pride.
If you find offense with her statement, then you are either:
(1) Reading-comprehension challenged, or...
(2) Pathetically desperate to find a fault, ANY fault, with something Obama, his wife, or anybody associated with his campaign might have done, in hope it will hurt his chance to win the nomination.
This goes out to all of you who are attempting to use this, dishonestly, to smear Obama:
-- If that's truly all you've got, and if you truly feel you need to stoop that low in order to win some kind of rhetorical points, then you have already lost. You have lost touch with everything that is true and honest in yourself and in the American ideals for democracy, decency, justice, fairness, etc. Wake up! We're all better than this! Or at least, we're supposed to be...
