Obama's surge extends down the Potomac

Shattering key demographic barriers, Barack Obama wins again by decisive margins. Will Hillary Clinton come out of a tailspin before it's too late?

Will we see...

Will we see this sort of inroad into voters in Wisconsin? That'll be a good test of whether or not this outreach from his base is for good; if it is it certainly does prove problematic for the Clinton campaign going into March 4th, where they increasingly have to win by fairly large margins to ensure that she keeps pace with Obama.

I find her recently departed deputy campaign manager was on the mark with his criticism of alot of the free spending during Iowa, and his call to pull out and refocus elsewhere. If they had, no doubt, their returns on February 5th would have been much larger and they probably would not have been broke come the day after. Considering he suggested, what can now only be viewed as probably the correct tack to take, one wonders why he has been let go.

Tra-La-Laaa!!

A plus-size woman approaches, carrying sheet music, clearing her throat...

She's wearing a ten-gallon hat...

Tuesday, February 12, 2008 09:14 PM

Actually it's a Sombero...

My predictions from now until March 4:

- Obama will win handily in WI & HI.

- Al Gore will come out and endorse Obama.

- HRC will dazedly wander around El Paso in a Sombero.

On March 4:

Obama wins handily in OH, TX, VT & RI.

This is the beginning of the end. Queen Inevitable shall not pass. There will be no Coronation.

@Villemar

And I predict that blue aliens will come and establish a reign of peace on earth and everyone will get lollipops.

Most famous woman politician in the world

So says the writer. A typical America-centric view.I can think of lots of more famous women politicians off the top of my head: women who got elected and ran governments. But not in America, the last stronghold of patriarchy.

"Shattering key demographic barriers"? Latinos were 5% and mostly black Latinos

Nice try though.

Beware the misrepresentations of the Obama followers.

You'll hear he "won Latinos" but you won't hear they were 5% of the vote and most of them were black/Latinos.

You'll hear "Hillary can't win enough delegates" before the end but you won't hear "NEITHER CAN OBAMA."

Cythera45...

You have the undeniable vim and vigor to affect things. Look at the way you anger so many posters here on Salon. Admirable.

But surely there must be a more productive venue for your vitriol. Your anger changes no one's mind here, you serve no greater good than to act as an irritant. Now, some perverse people will enjoy the simple act of irritation. But not you! You're a patriot, and a scholar.

So why don't you go out into the world and share your views with those unfortunate enough not yet to have heard them.

You will be missed, I'm sure. But we here at Salon are willing to make this sacrifice. For the greater good.

Oh and Cythera45...

...you know you're now famous, right? Your wit and wisdom has been put to song by the lovely and talented Xrandadu Hutman!

"Woman is the Nigger of the World"

In the words of Madeleine Albright: "There is a special place in Hell for women who don't support women."

Yoko Ono and John Lennon's lyrics: "Woman is the Nigger of the World"

Woman is the nigger of the world,

Yes, she is, think about it.

Woman is the nigger of the world,

Think about it, do something about it.

We make her paint her face and dance,

If she won't be a slave and say that she don't love us.

If she's real, we say she's tryin' to be a man,

While puttin' her down we pretend that she's above us.

Woman is the nigger of the world,

Yes, she is,

If you don't believe me, take a look at the one you're with.

Woman is the slave of the slaves,

Oh yeah, better scream about it, yeah!

We make her bear and raise our children,

And then we leave her flat for being a fat old mother hen.

We tell her home is the only place she should be,

Then we complain that she's too unworldly to be our friend.

Oh, woman is the nigger of the world,

Yes, she is,

If you don't believe me, take a look at the one you're with.

Oh, woman is the slave to the slave,

[Woman is The Nigger of The World lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]

Yeah, all right.

Hit it!

We insult her ev'ry day on tv,

And wonder why she has no guts or confidence.

When she's young, we kill her will to be free,

While tellin' her not to be so smart we put her down for being so dumb.

Oh well, woman is the nigger of the world,

Yes, she is,

If you don't believe me, take a look at the one you're with.

Woman is the slave to the slaves,

Yes, she is,

If you believe, we'd better scream about it!

Uh, uh, uh, hey, hey.

We make her paint her face and dance,

We make her paint her face and dance,

We make her paint her face and dance,

We make her paint her face and dance,

We make her paint her face and dance,

We make her paint her face and dance,

We make her paint her face and dance.

Hillary 08 -- The deserving candidate!

another breakout of cytheris

Subtle changes, from personal vibators to lolipops. Same freudian thread, though, and the same Midol-deprived viewpoint. Hie thee to a nunnery. love, heywood.

good morning children -

today we have to educate Cythera - because she was a very, very bad girl lately.

There was just this question: "Who should be at the head of the class and Cythera wrote:

"I could care less how the nominee is decided as long as it is not Obama.

If they have to bribe every superdelegate with cash, whores, and vacations in Aruba,

that's fine with me. I hope he is cheated, in the most egregiously obvious and corrupt

way, out of the nomination, so I can dance on his political grave. Then I can come in

here and revel in the shrieks and moans of his dying cult.

My, my, Cythera - I finally had to call your parents and if you don't stop writing

things like that, you only allowed to play with the grown-ups!

CLASS (in horror): UUUH!

- and no more vacations on Aruba for you too!!
