Letters to the Editor

What's the purpose, ezhik2?
I'm sorry, but I don't really get the purpose of posting, if Obama gets the nom I'm going to vote for McCain and a whole bunch of other "centrist" democrats will follow suit? First of all, the latter argument is hardly quantifiable. I think I've seen 3 or 4 people on this letters threads whose said the same thing (who could, ofcourse, actually just be you in different persona.) And your personal choice not to vote for Obama, well that's fine. Knock yourself out. It seems like you are saying this (over and over again, in any message thread) just to get a rise outta people. You are entitled to your opion. I don't think it's fair to castigate democrats for actually voting for someone they beleive in, rather than voting the safe choice.
Anyway, I don't know, I think it's impossible to speculate on how the American public is going to vote IF Obama gets the nomination. We have no idea what's going to happen between then and now, (heck, McCain could drop dead...we could find out Obama has an illegitimate 3/4" white love child) and who knows, maybe Obama will switch gears in his campaign and start focusing more on policy in his speeches. The fact is that since Obama and Clinton are so similiar in their policy, arguing over the facts doesn't drive enough of a wedge between. So they focused on perdonality, experiene, leadership, etc.
This is the most exciting presidential race of my life. Even though they started campaigning what feels like twenty years ago, things are still up in the air. I can't wait until we pick a nominee, Hillary or Obama, and we can start seeing some real fireworks between dems and republicans.
