Obama surge? Or Clinton comeback? Superdelegates anyone? With the delegate count agonizingly close -- and proportional representation likely to keep it that way -- all bets are off.

  • To those that are still undecided!

Forgiveness is the FIRST step to change and unity!

Those who preach about change from the past should not teach that unforgiveness of those in the past is change! That is NOT change! Forgiveness is! Attacking opposition is not change! Just more of the same from a different direction!

UNITED WE STAND TO VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON!

Real solutions for positive change looking forward to the future of all of America, the world, and our future generations to come!

  • @Texas Democrat

Wow -- how much money did you get to post that slogan-filled chunk o' campaign cheerleading, y'all?

Just messing with you. (Whoops, I shouldn't mess with Texas.)

To all Hillary Clinton supporters: Best of luck to you and your candidate.

If Hillary wins, I will be here ready to eat crow. You all have my persmission to harangue me mercilessly for a good solid week in any message thread.

You have you reasons for thinking Hillary Clinton is the best possible candidate. I have my reasons for thinking Barack Obama is the best candidate. Jolly good.

Incidentally, I lived in Texas while George Bush was governor there. I read Dallas Morning News articles about Bush playing office solitaire instead of reading the clemency appeals delivered to his desk from Death Row inmates. So I'll be pretty damned happy to see Bush leave office no matter which Democrat wins.

  • To: mvpeach10 PAGE 3

You said it PERFECTLY! Now if only the rest of us will get it, maybe we can be saved from our own stupid selves! LOL!!!

  • To: Xrandadu Hutman...

I am not paid by anyone! It is truly how I feel! I care about everyone! Not just my future, but everyones! It scares me to think of not having the right person at this time in our lives! I SWEAR I would vote for Obama at any other time in my life! Where was he 4 years ago when we really needed him? LOL!!! Seriously though, I feel this with my heart and soul and every fiber of my being! I am not here with an agenda other than making sure we as America can really really move forward!

  • BTW!...

I did not vote for George Bush ever!

I have been from Texas my whole life and I knew with the same amount of conviction that he was bad news! And he way exceeded my expectations! I knew in my gut he was bad, bad, bad! I have been more than proven right!

  • In this election...

It needs to be a gut decision and not a wild guess! Just like Obama, I also was against the war! So does my judgment count for anything?

Make sense? We all were against it but for protecting our country! I forgive Hillary and believe she is not a demon that would send us into this situation. There are so many things that lurk beneath the surface that none of us are aware of until we are aware of it! Why do you think GB got into office in the first place?

I guess what I am trying to say is that Obama's "judgment" may have been correct; however, tit for tat is not going to win him the election for the Democrats. Also the Republicans are very strong at what they do! Obama does not have enough solidarity to withstand the wrath of the Republicans! I know it in my gut! You were given instincts for a reason! Mine tell me this!

  • Lifelong Indie, well actually libertarian

I am a 40 year old lifelong indie (who calls herself a libertarian) who has voted both dem and repub in my life.

I own and run a successful business. I'm black and female. No kids. Married. College degreed.

This primary season I am supporting Obama (I live in Florida and so....plus is an listed as an independent). However, if Hillary were to win the nomination I will vote for her. I disagree with some of her policy points and i wish she had less baggage (I really really REALLY don't like the Clintons - to me, they are calculating and disingenuous - and always have been) BUT I cannot imagine McCain (Mr. "100 year war") in the white house. HE is temperamental (read: codgety, as in, old man) and unpredictable. He represents 'more of the same' of the woefully failed policies of the BUSH administration...the same attitude, the same arrogance. I cannot imagine our country with more of THAT. (Believe me, hubby and I are looking for real estate VIRTUALLY ANYWHERE ELSE if he get elected!).

By and large (polls show) that 70%+ of Obama AND Clinton supporters will rally behind the Dem Nominee. And I think that's true because as they have BOTH said, despite our differences, we have more in common with each other than with the repubs (McCain). McCain will only be able to sway indies who are OK with his war policy. Some ARE OK with it. I think the majority, however, are not. And the truth is, if he was FOR ending the war in 2009 (as are Clinton and Obama), I'd likely vote for him since my Libertarian leanings often lead me to the LESS government camp.

But this war has me furious and I'm going Dem this election. Clinton would do well, Obama would also do well. I'm behind whomever gets the nomination.

  • The Bottom Line

Reading all the letters above, I see a lot of passion for both candidates. I also see a lot of venom directed more at Hillary than Barack. Just an observation, but, Obama supporters might want to be a little less strident with their vicious vituperation of Hillary.

Should Barack manage to become the Democratic candidate, he will face not only the Republicans in the fall, he will be facing those Democratic voters who supported Hillary...a number that is about 50% as of now.

With that overt nastiness in mind, the way I feel right now, I won't vote for the Republican candidate, but, I'm not likely to vote for Obama either.

Bottom line: I, and many others, may just sit this one out; let's see Obama win withOUT the enthusiastic support of the Hillary voters.
