Hillary's time of troubles

As Clinton and Obama spoke to Virginia Democrats on Saturday, the crowd's response -- and returns from Nebraska, Washington and Louisiana -- showed how the tide is turning.

The letters thread is now closed.

@AlecsMom: KNOW WHAT YOU WRITE OR DON'T WRITE AT ALL......

I WROTE IN RESPONSE TO YOUR FIRST POSTING:

How dare you state that the administration of President Bill Clinton did not do anything for our country.

Lets give credit where credit is due and not knock down the great administration of President Clinton in order to pump up your candidate.

The administration of President Bill Clinton afforded all of us a time when we didn’t have this foreclosure circus, when we had less unemployment and a time of peace.

You either were a child at the time he was president or you forget what his administration did for the economy, which included balancing the budget and creating a surplus for our country.

YOUR FIRST POSTING STATED:

Bill was a moderate president, period. No major movement in either direction overall. That's not say that he (or Hillary) might not have wanted to do more, that's to say that it didn't happen. Personally, I think that Bill's weaknesses as a person contributed mightily to his inability to rally the country behind important issues. Even GWB has done better at this and he has been a failure as a leader. Now why should we expect Hillary to deliver much better than her far-more-popular husband?

YOUR REPLY TO MY MESSAGE:

I said no such thing. There's a difference between criticism and insults. Please read more carefully and stop trying to make issues where there are none.

MY RESPONSE TO YOU:

KNOW WHAT YOU WRITE OR DON’T WRITE AT ALL & NEVER COMPARE THE GWB ADMINISTRATION TO THAT OF PRESIDENT CLINTON.

Clinton

I don't understand how anyone can even consider voting for this woman. She voted for the war; the single biggest mistake in the history of this country. She can only be counted on to do the politically expedient thing, not the the right thing. She is not trustworthy. To those that say she only voted to give bush the power to leverage saddam hussein; well, if that's the case she's too stupid to be president. Everyone knew where the bush assholes were going with that authority. No one with a shred of a conscience can vote for clinton.

March is too Late

If Hillary gets smoked like yesterday the rest of the month, her strategy of saving her campaign in the March Texas/Ohio primaries may look like the vaunted Rudy strategy. She'll be twisting in the wind.

James Levy.....Obama got my vote....

...when he espoused a tax increase for the most wealthy. I think he said the top 1%. The fascinating thing was that he said that in front of a Hollywood crowd (at the debate) of some of the top A List celebrities and money people in the business! He even included himself in the willingness to give more. that says "leader" right there.

You can't say that the guy won't "stand up"!

He's not going to soft sell you.

along these lines, last night in his speech he said something to the effect that this campaign is a "we" thing. There's A LOT of work to do to restore this country...and he's laying that fact out there, time and time again. It's gonna take ALL OF US. I admire that about him. He mentions this frequently. I hope Obamas constituency is ready to roll up our collective sleeves.

also, his ideas about transperency in government:

(from that debate in Hollywood)

"That's what I did in Illinois, to provide insurance for people who did not have it. That's what I will do in bringing all parties together, not negotiating behind closed doors, but bringing all parties together, and broadcasting those negotiations on C-SPAN so that the American people can see what the choices are.

Because part of what we have to do is enlist the American people in this process. And overcoming the special interests and the lobbyists who -- Senator Clinton is right. They will resist anything that we try to do. My plan, her plan, they will try to resist.

What I want to do is increase transparency and accountability to offset the power of the special interests and the lobbyists.

If a drug company -- if the drug companies or a member of Congress who's carrying water for the drug companies wants to argue that we should not negotiate for the cheapest available price on drugs, then I want them to make that argument in front of the American people."

'But wait! There is more!'

Afghanistan: Barack Obama believes that we need to begin to end the war in order to finish the fight in

Afghanistan. He would redeploy at least two combat brigades (7,000 personnel) of rested, trained American

troops to Afghanistan to reinforce our counter-terrorism operations and support NATO’s efforts to fight the

Taliban.

Then, it totally make sense:

Expand the Military: We have learned from Iraq that our military needs more men and women in uniform to reduce the strain on our active force. Obama will increase the size of ground forces, adding 65,000 soldiers to the Army and 27,000 Marines.

It looks like we will continue on increase our military spending too.

Hillary

Hillary will win Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. She understands the issues and how the government works. Obama favors the use of nuclear energy just like McCain.

Go Hillary!

@ANONYMOUS...SHOW YOURSELF...DO NOT HIDE FROM YOUR COMMENTS

IT SEEMS THAT THE PEOPLE WHO REGISTER AS "ANONYMOUS" CAN SPEW THEIR VENOM AND ARE TOO LAME TO DEFINE THEMSELVES.

I take great pride in knowing the "facts" and it is a "Fact" that black voters are voting for Obama. I agree with everything I write, because I research before spewing my mouth off.

If you can document for me that the case I have provided is not accurate, please let me know.

The vote in Louisiana nailed this for me, since the people in Louisiana voted for Obama even after he denied them resources to rebuild the coastline. Hillary Clinton was the one who supported the act that would help the people of Louisiana and for some reason...oh I don't know what the reason could be, but they voted for Obama.

Please read my postings before insinuating that the facts I state are not true. Also, register as everyone else and stop hiding from your remarks.

YOU WROTE:

The profoundly irritating (“only blacks vote for obama”) ncawley registered a month ago. Possibly the most spiteful of the Hillary supporting bunch, she’s the one who manufactured outrage at ‘mjkoch,’ the only Obama supporter who’s even approached the level of vitriol expounded by the Hillbots – after at least three fellow Obama supporters already called him out on his behavior. --Anonymous
