Romney struggles to "stay" relevant?
Ha ha, you kid...
This is the worst bunch of conservatives the right wing has ever come up with (well, okay...they did pretty lousy back in 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004...but that's just splitting hairs).
McCain will likely be the candidate, and he's almost 72 years old! And he acts his age! Not good!
Huckabee and Romney are no better...in fact they're even worse. (So is Ron Paul, by the way.) I forget who else was running -- oh yeah, America's So-Called Mayor. And that guy on "Law & Order."
Jo-mesus, if you're going to try to elect somebody from Law & Order, elect that sexy brown-eyed woman in the leather jacket! Don't give her an Emmy, give her an office!
But, uh, we have McCain, also known as McCorrupt, also known as a stand-up comedian so bad audiences are clamoring for Neil Hamburger to take over.
The only thing McCain has going for him is that he's a "war hero." I can't argue with the fact that he was in a war, and that he heroically endured his POW experience (cue the Swift Boaters who give him hell for signing a repudiation of the U.S. foreign policy after months of having his body mangled...as if anybody wouldn't do the same).
I read John McCain's book....it's actually pretty tolerable. It's better than "A Charge to Keep," I'll tell you that much. It's better than Dan Quayle's book too....by a notch or so.
What else does McCain have going for him? Oh yeah, he rides the Straight Talk Express. Except when he doesn't. The Straight Talk Express is a metaphor just asking to be maligned.
McCain is a man who knew that Bush's campaign was pulling dirty tricks against him (including the "illegitimate black baby" thing) and who repaid Bush for the abuse by crawling up and licking his balls. Not something I can respect.
Hillary or Barack will beat McCain the same way a child idly flicks a fly off of his knee at a picnic.

Angels and saints preserve us...
... from four (or, god forbid, eight) years of the McCain neck wattles.

The GOP is Still Formidable
The GOP isn't chasing it's tail at all.
It is smoothly moving towards the nomination of an effective and popular candidate.
In the meantime, the Democrats will have an enjoyable, and no doubt increasingly bitter contest that may continue into August.
To an electorate that basically hates the idea of people 'on the same side' arguing and attacking one another; the contrast with the focused disciplined Republicans united behind McCain will be stark.
Should the Democrats nominate Hillary Clinton in August, McCain will probably be the narrow favorite.
This is a worrying time for progressives not just in the USA, but around the world who are desperate for change in the world's most powerful nation.

Lions and Tigers and Bears....
So, Chuck-a-buck is running a blocking action for McCain against Mittens! And Rush, the Club for Growth, Tran,et al, are foaming at the mouth railing against McCain (and Chuck-aBuck) as true conservative apostates. So, is Rush going to have an aneuresym when McCain pays back his blocker with a VP spot on the ticket? Even more interesting, will the dead-enders in the old-school Democratic machine be dumb enough to elect HillBillory, who may very well lose against the McCain/Huck show? What if Hill and Obama bury the hatchet, kiss and make up, and the Dems run a Hill/Obama card? Time for a Bloomberg or another third-way, Independent candidate to jump in the fray? How about Bloomberg/Paul? Gore/Kucinich? The media hacks such as Chris Matthews are going to be in their glory! Shrub may feel left out/abandoned/ignored...maybe he will invade Iran, or just bomb it...or maybe he will eliminate any taxes whatsoever for people who make more than $200K/year, and sell our farmland and forests to the Chinese and OPEC members in return for their floating our currency and decrepit banking system. Then he will get the IRS to issue tax rebates in the form of gift certificates to Best Buy and Wal Mart and GM/Ford/Chrysler, so Amerikuns can buy more stuff they don't need, to puff the ecomony along for another year or two before the next inevitable crisis...

You probably laugh and point at the Republicans at your own peril
It would not be wise to giggle at them and discount them. They have an uncanny ability to play to basic fears and nervousness of people to pull a thin victory out in spite of the utter gabbling stupidity that comes from their candidates mouth. Evident your current President, twice.
Unlike the Dems the GOP will do its best to pull together as a single organized party effort to get behind whomever is their candidate and engineer a boring predictable machine election. Dems on the other hand are so enamored of themselves they believe it's more important that everyone on the planet hear their unique position to the detriment of the candidates. Backbiting thy name is Democrat.

Is There Anything Sadder...
than to watch a bunch of white guys with a burned out ideology shuffle along, state to state, huffing and puffing, hoping beyond all hope, that there's still a Party out there...somewhere?

The GOP chases its tail
Is there really one single person out there who thinks a 73 year old man can take on the duties as President of the US. I think not, his history is worst than Shrub, He may well have Alzheimer's for all we know remember Ronald Reagan. His attitude towards people is very incommodious, and like the Shrub is noted for telling off color stories at the wrong time.
I would rather have a new President who brought a clear, clean breath of fresh air onto the political scene. From what McCain has said its appears, in my opinion, to be more and more of the same old tired GOP rhetoric. No new ideas, methods, etc.
Thank you and really take a closer look at this man, take off your party hat, all your inbred prejudges, look at him closely, and above all LISTEN to what he says and has said. Be sure to get your info not on FOX
