The reason so much of the media is against Hillary Clinton is because a lot of it is actually FOR her.
Americans as a nation despise their news services as being lazy, dishonest, self-superior pricks. This is in part because while you might jump in and save a drowning baby, a press man's best instinct is to pull out a camera and wax poetic about the humanity involved.
So, the press knows that if they tell you to do something in a certain way, you will probably do the opposite because hey, its the press that is saying do XYZ.
For example: If the press tells you that women are incapable of governing countries, you are more likely to vote for a woman. Why? Because you do not like thinking of yourself as a bigot and you would seriously like to show them. The same is true of if the press says the same thing about black people.
