The race for California Clinton and Obama battle for a mother lode of delegates -- in a state with a nonwhite Latino, Asian, black majority. Who has figured out the electoral math?

Wow! I don't think we up here in the GPNW (Great Pacific North West) have ever experienced such a spotlight moment as we will this Saturday when we convene our caucuses.

I am thrilled to have our "moment in the sun." We have 97(?) delegates at stake. Already, Democratic Party leaders are predicting well over 100,000 people at the caucuses. I understand additional ballots have been requested and both Obama's and Clinton's campaigns have sent in additional paid and volunteer staffers to help get out the vote.

The Clintons will make appearances here on Friday, in Seattle and Tacoma (smart move on their part to hit Tacoma because of its "working class" base). Bill Clinton lost Washington State in 1992 and gave up on us until now...

Just shows how incredibly tight this race is.

Clinton has boots on the ground as we speak and is working with Precinct Chairs and volunteers to mobilize her supporters. Proud to say I'm one of them!

Obama I think plans a "whistle stop" in Seattle on Friday.

All you Washington State Hillary supporters, head to the caucuses on Saturday. We need you now!

    GO HILLARY!!
  • Miracle of miracles

During the returns last night I got two amazing phone calls from friends -- one who "was" a diehard Kucinich supporter and the other who is a FORMER Barack Obama supporter. They called to tell me they're casting their votes for Hillary Clinton.

The reasons are even more amazing.

My 'Kucinich' friend said she had been leaning toward Obama but changed her mind for Clinton when she discovered that he has voted to authorize continued funding for the Iraq War. She's mad as hell at Obama for being dishonest and disingenuous about his anti-war 'stance'.

My 'former Obama supporter' friend decided to support Hillary because she is "goddamned sick and tired of him getting a pass from the media" and their "glorification of his candidacy."

    Hope springs eternal!

    Hillary, Hillary, she's my woman!!
