    New York lawyer at 7:30 a.m.

    If you were too dozy to do your own research, I wasn't going to bother but still you proably need an answer. Obama's friend is/was Keith Kakugwaya (aka Ray). If you're really keen to find out, there are ways and means for a lawyer. Keith is from Honolulu but came to mainland America. He was in a bad way last year, having left prison, but he might have pulled himself together now. You could use your lawyerly skills to find out. I'm too busy baking an apple-pie.
