I knew it would not be long before the victim card was being played again. And this time it's because Obama didn't shake her hand in the Senate.
Playing the victim may help Clinton win the nomination, but it will come back to haunt her in the general. American's desperately want decisive leadership not perpetual whining about how unfair men treat Hillary, or the vast rightwing conspiracy, or the media bias against the Clintons, or all those lying women saying such dirty things about Bill.
Stop playing the victim card and try to demonstrate real leadership qualities
I tend to be a moderate Republican but I am very disgusted with that party. Now, these Donkeys seem to think that they can manage the country. Based on their current antics, I seriously doubt it. Since the Elephants are a failure, I don't know what I will do. So far, the only endorsement that seems to mean anything to me is from Caroline Kennedy.
What would be interesting would be an hour on CNN with Anderson Cooper moderating a debate between Bill Clinton and Michelle Obama.
Which seems to have been forgotten lo! these many years is, Did Bush win Florida in 2000?
Yeah because real maturity is whining about the popular kid *gasp* not acknowledging you.
Yep, that thar is sure the mature way of doing things.
Meanwhile, what did Hillary do when Putin wished America a merry Christmas?
Last week I told you - not thatyou were listening - that I was putting a bet on John McCain as any outside observer could see that the Democrats are tearing themselves apart. I'v read a lot of the blogs and the level of vicious slander must be unprecedented. What is particularly shocking to me is the level of opprobrium that some unprincipled peope will use - witless taunting about a former White House intern whose shoddy story was bruited all over the world ten years ago. The element of cruelty in this - "sua culpa, sua maxima culpa" - indicates a ruthlessness and lack of human decency which is repellent. That woman should be allowed to live down the past but there are some supporters of one of the candidates who don't recognise any boundaries. Debate is beyond them and absolute filth is their chosen metier.
Anyway, I consulted with Merlin - you know, of course - that he is associated with Camelot - and he made some strange references to Morgan Le Fay and treachery within that magical kingdom. The code of chivalry was broken, Arthur was wounded in battle and is buried on the Isle of Avalon. When I mentioned that Americans were babbling about Camelot with refernce to Barack OObama, Merlin gazed into the depths of the forest, sighed "The Once and Future King is sleeping. Those people who know nothing about the Round Table and the Code of Chivalry should not sully his name". I mentioned a man called Chris Matthews and Merlin's respnse was "Bah". Entranced, I looked into Merlin's crystal ball. At first it was cloudy but then I saw a snowy-haired man in battedress, venerable in years and wisdom, with a pennant bearing the name of a Celtic clan. Guided by Merlin, I put my money on this man at the weekend.
Congratulations, John McCain. How could you lose when the contenders for the Democrat nomination and their supporters are tearing each other apart like a pack of ravening wolves?
It's not a pretty sight. I do have a vivid imagination but, looking at the Obama Svengali, David Axelrod, I was reminded of Rasputin. Have a nice day!
Well, she is campaigning as Ms. Experience. And since her experience as an elected official is just about the same as that of Obama, the only way she can claim such a title is as "former first lady". She can't have her brioche and eat it too.
Oh, come off it -- Clinton's been frostily snubbing Obama constantly since he dared run against her, but in the usual Clintonian spinmongering way, Obama's caught in a picture looking away, and SNAP, the Snub(tm) is born, and Clinton spins it like she's somehow trying to make peace between them, and he's the one being unreasonable -- even though Obama has clearly been caught flat-footed by the Clinton hostility and underhandedness.
The "Hey, count those delegates, now that I won them" switcheroo from Clinton is another example of Clintonian spin in motion. Yeah, justice for Florida? How about votes for Clinton? To Queen Hillary, they're one and the same -- a vote for her is a vote for justice...for her (last part said sotto voce).
Anything and Everything To Win -- that should be the Clintons' slogan, because that's how they operate. Pit that against the Straight Talk Express(tm), and they're going to look terrible, and no amount of adroit victimization-spinning is going to win them the election.
Clinton's 'victory' in Florida is yet another example of how there exists no such thing as Truth or Lie in Clinton-land.
All decisions in Hillary's administration will be based on what is to her personal advantage -- not reality-based.
We are now a certified banana republic. We are worried about snubs, about how one smiles (smirks if you don't like the candidate). Your candidate is a saint. The other's is a sinner. Then Shapiro, who has problems with his own bias refers to a two term Senator as a former first lady (just to put the boot in) and on and on.
What about the million Democrats who actually went to the polling booth or voted in advance? Are they just actors in a script written by our media elites to make it possible for them to keep on gassing on tv?
It is one thing to sound so censorious about the candidate you oppose and to worship and adore the one you support. Give a thought for those who took the time to vote. And don't demean their effort by calling them participants in a beauty contest.
Given the fact that Mrs. Clinton got a substantial larger number of votes in Florida than the votes Mr. McCain got in the GOP primaries in that state, it becomes unavoidable for the Democratic Party to seat the Florida and Michigan delegations. Therefore, there is a third narrative. For all effects what we have witnessed in Florida yesterday is Mrs. Clinton's coup d'etat against her own party. If she plays that level of hardball against the GOP she may win over McCain in November, but hardball and sleaze are the games Republicans play best. It seems that the Fall contest will be bitter and nasty like any other. Oh Florida!
