Letters to the Editor

This letter is associated with the following article:
In his last annual speech to Congress, the president used Osama bin Laden to justify Iraq, bravely denounced pork-barrel spending and waxed amnesiac about Iran.
  • Deja vu all over again

But when it came to Iran, a charter member of the trio of evildoers, Bush waxed amnesiac. There was no reference to the latest National Intelligence Estimate that found that Iran had abandoned its nuclear weapons program. Instead, Bush warned that Tehran "continues to develop its capability to enrich uranium, which could be used to create a nuclear weapon." He also demanded that the leaders of Iran "come clean about your nuclear intentions and past actions."

Incredibly surreal moment, it mirrored Junior's 2003 STFU address

that was chock full of 'yellowcake' and 'caliphates' and 'mushroom clouds' or whatever drivel he spewed at that time. Hopefully, those aptly skilled will compose a video that compares the two speeches and posts it on YouTube.
