If HRC manages to knock Mr. Perfect, the saintly Obama out of the race she and her husband will be doing the US a great favor. Mr. Obama's clinical diagnosis is: "Narcissistic personality disorder with delusions of grandeur" Another Jim Jones in the making. Obama actually said, in SF on January 18 (source SF Chronicle) "On the day I am elected and sworn into office, not only does this country look at itself differently, but I think the world looks at itself differently. And that's not just symbolic"
Obama can kiss my patootie. I don't buy his schtick for one minute. The media should have done its job and held this self obsessed man under the microscope, instead of giving him a pass like they did GWBush.
Oh yeah. One more thing. When that Newsweek cover photo of Obama was taken they forgot to mention that Obama was looking into a mirror.
So! "BamaBots! Are.You.Fired.Up. And.Ready.To.Go? Do.You.Weep.When.Obama.Speaks? Weeping. Weeping.
You can vote for Obama in the primaries. But if he is not there in November, and it doesn't look like he will, be sure to vote for Hillary.
I predict she will have Wesley Clark on her ticket.
You just said you were a registered Democrat who would not vote for Hillary. Then you said: ya know...
I am sure that HRC is going to mudsling and distort what he said, but to anyone with half a brain, he is talking about the Independents (who according to every bit of data will go to McCain over her) and Republicans, who would walk through glass to vote against her.
It seems you contradict yourself. It seems that when Obama says his supporters will not vote for Hillary, he actually means loyal Democrats like you. It seems he means that he will not even urge loyal Democrats like you to get behind the party nominee and work for that person to be elected perhaps. I take it his supporters take their talking points from him.
Apparently Obama's supporters current threat judging by the comments to Joan's most recent column as well the letters so far here amounts to "Either give us what we want or we will take our ball and go home." Young people who are Obama supporters in the other thread are dissing boomers and suggesting that we all retire. (Some of them seem to be wishing we were pushing up daisies already!) Over here Obama supporters are saying that they should get their way or it will be the ruin of the party.
I hope no one votes on race or sex. As an Edwards' supporter, I am voting based upon Edwards' progressive ideas which I want to see take center stage, but I would never refuse to support a black candidate or a woman. So what gives? What is wrong with you Clinton and Obama supporters that you can't be willing to pull together for the good of the party?
You want us to transcend race or gender, but you all can't seem to transcend the primary campaign season. What a weak bunch of sissies!
At least Hillary never claimed to be a big uniter. Obama the Uniter doesn't seem to want to unite his supporters on behalf of the party. Again I ask, what gives?
-Obama's campaign circulated a memo describing Hillary Clinton as "D-Punjab," a reference to her Indian-American donors. Obama has said that was a mistake.-
I am most likely not voting for her in the general election. That ticket would be too pro-war for me. This doesn't have anything to do with Obama. Clinton would have to pick someone that doesn't make me think that we are going to be involved in ever-loving war for ever and ever and ever, for me to vote for her.
And I'm not a kid. I'm just tired of the madness of the Democratic Party and the Clinton supporters. And the wars.
Your news is old news. It was covered in Newsweek weeks ago--and the person who wrote that email either got fired or resigned and Obama told them nothing like that goes out. Ever from his campaign.
Please don't try to take the mudslinging and get Clinton absolved by the "everybody does it" argument. That's not an excuse that she should be trying to use.
"Let's face it, Edwards is out of the race, which does say how far we've come. He's the white man."
Good grief! I never thought I would have to say something like this in defense of a man. Really I didn't! But Malusinka, that was a sexist and racist comment. I surely hope you didn't mean it the way it sounds. Would you please care to revise?
I just don't think it is progress that someone is automatically eliminated just because he is a white man. I say this most sincerely as the hated AKA feminist of many Broadsheet postings attacking sexism against women. Say it isn't so Malusinka!
So then, let's call it a truce. If Obama's dirty tricks are old news, then Hillary's dirty tricks should also be old news. Kapiche???
So you won't vote for Hillary because she was pro-war. Hillary has said that she will have the troops home as soon as she is elected. She did say that in the debate.
So people like you who will not vote for Hillary, should she be nominated, will most certainly ensure the election of John McCain, who is so pro-war that he publicly stated he could keep Iraq occupied for 100 years.
Mind boggling!!!
And I promise you, that much as I perceive Barak Obama as a modern day charlatan with his grandiose plan to unite Democrats, republicans and independents - should he win the Democratic nomination, I will be the first in line to cast a vote for him.
You should really read up more on Wesley Clark. He is HARDLY pro-war. He supports war ONLY as a last resort, and did not support this one.
Not everyone with a military background is a warmonger. That's a lazy and simplistic conclusion to jump to. Wes Clark is an honorable, intelligent, accomplished and peace-loving man. And this is coming from a card-carrying member of the Socialist loony left.
