I say this and it's hard to say, but I don't think I can stomach pulling the lever for Clinton in this election. The reason:
because she has tried to beat Obama to a pulp.
because she has never so much as given a nosebleed to Bush.
I'm not an idealist--but I need some kind of leader in my leader. To me Bush = Clinton. Two double terms. Two revenge vendettas. (I can only assume that it is for revenge that the Clintons are campaigning so hard.) Pointless wars. Egoes. Loyalty oaths. Debt. Growing gap between rich and poor.
Though it may be puerile, Clinton has thrived on the fight--on making enemies. Some of these enemies will turn out to vote AGAINST her in the election day. Why is the Democratic party not electing the person with fewer enemies, fewer fights to pick, and his mind more focused on the pressing issues at hand? The more sane one? The more healthy one? The better-hearted one? The more ethical one? No, he's not a Messiah, but he can win by a large margin. She *might* be able to win.
Obama.
