"But don't y'all have some ethical standards?"
Its the Clintons who lack "some ethical standards." The MLK/LBJ comment, the "fairytale" comment among others were all carefully designed to get their nasty point across with enough murkiness to let the Clintons play their tired out victim game once again.

Yes, Clintons were involved with racial causes.
I have seen myself how deliberately and persistently Mrs. Clinton was crashing public education in the City of Chicago within 1993-2000. It was mainly done (or I mainly witnessed it, being employed, as substitute teacher in Chicago public schools and part - time instructor in a number of City Colleges of Chicago and suburbs) on secondary and city colleges levels. As the results, two thirds of graduates of Chicago public schools were not able to read after the graduation. I had witnessed the starting point in 1993, and the ending in 2000. The difference was huge. Mrs. Clinton is the obvious racist. She is practicing White Supremacist. I am in possession of formal proofs of her "achievements" inside of Chicago public education. Chicago happened to be her birthplace and she chose it as the dream model of urban public education.

The politics of distortion
Without the vision of King, the bravery and sacrifice of the civil rights movement, the commitment and legislative craftsmanship of Kennedy and his team AND the Kennedy assassination, the 1964 Civil Rights Act doesn't pass. Nothing wrong with LBJ being a presidential arm-twister (relying on Republican votes), but Clinton blows his role way out of proportion for her own purpose: to take down Obama.
Not pretty, and soon to be seen as very counterproductive.

I need also to emphasize that when I revolted against this practice and filed....
I need also to emphasize that when I revolted against this practice, being the educator in my core, and filed lawsuit, I was sent through two fully illegal evictions and one also fully ungrounded auction of my possession in public storage in Chicago. This auction was accomplished without ANY prior notification. So, Mrs. Clinton is practically the acting member (or the acting leader) of Midwest KKK. She is the bloody criminal, and her activities in the area of racial causes are confirming this definition above. It is necessary to remind the readers here that organization of White Supremacists in Illinois (like one in Peoria) were much more active during Clinton's administration, having, I think, the obvious support and encouragement from White House.

This reminds me of the movie 'Barbershop'
And the controversy over a black actor playing a character who disparaged Rosa Parks. Some things in the US are beyond any rational discussion whatsoever and are effectively, sacrosanct. There is no permissible deviation from the official gospel.
Dr. King was not the entirety of the civil rights movement. He was not the sole individual who broke the chains of Jim Crow. But the mass media isn't allowed to say that any more than they aren't permitted to sound less retarded by uttering what the 'n-word' actually is.

W smarter than Clinton
Hillary Clinton, the day before she voted on the resolution authorizing the use of force:
"Now, I believe the facts that have brought us to this fateful vote are not in doubt. <...> He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. <...> Now this much is undisputed. ... If we get the resolution and Saddam does not comply, then we can attack him with far more support and legitimacy than we would have otherwise." http://clinton.senate.gov/speeches/iraq_101002.html
Hillary Clinton, yesterday on Meet the Press:
“We can have this Jesuitical argument about what exactly was meant. But when Chuck Hagel, who helped to draft the resolution said, 'It was not a vote for war,' What I was told directly by the White House in response to my question, 'If you are given this authority, will you put the inspectors in and permit them to finish their job,' I was told that's exactly what we intended to do. ”
Clearly this woman cannot be trusted. This Dem will be voting for McCain.

Bob Johnson is a Johnson
The remarks by Bob Johnson were most certainly vetted by the Clintons. This is how they operate.
It's time for Obama to counterpunch with a litany of examples of the Clinton's misdeeds and the divisiveness they represent. It is also time for all Obama supporters to reach down and give with time and money to get him nominated and elected...the latter is something Hillary is incapable of.

Hillary's act on MTP stings and she continues to offend MLK legacy...
Hillary had almost a week and no doubt plenty of advance notice to "walkback" ( current media term invoked by NYT to let Hillary off the hook and not call her misstep an apology) her dismissive and discounting of MLK and others.
I do admit unlike Hillary and Joan and the bulk of those making excuses for Hillary's discounting of MLK and others, I am not a white person nor a Obama supporter. I am just a black man who admires MLK more than LBJ and other whites who we have informed by Hillary were more impotant than MLK..
Instead what did we got from a so-called seasoned leader of 35 years, was a deflection and excuses and at the end she still clinged to her insane quote that MLK needed partners..
Hillary never did apologize or truly relate to how her quote was so offensive to many of americans especially Black americans who regard MLK as an icon. Hillary never explained why it was even necessary to even invoke MLK in such a backward and lethal word play.
I left watching her act as a Black man dishearten and troubled that in 2008 certainly with Hillary and her supporters how race is still such a wedge even in Democratic party. After watching Hillary I was sadden that MLK's worth and value still was up to question even with a white female senator with her legacy of service.

could we petition
the campaigns to "stop eating your own?"
Don't the voters want the smears and innuendo to stop, and have candidates speak solely about their ideas, records and vision?
Who would sign a petition to this effect? Who would pledge funds to support the moratorium?

The Descent of White Journalists
No matter how hard journalists try to protect Barack Obama from the truth of his cocaine use it is still a fact. It also seems to border on silliness for a White journalist to tell Bob Johnson a successful Black business man what is or is not acceptable to say about Obama.
