  • Obama above the Clinton shtick

Hillary Clinton’s Sunday performances on Meet the Press and in that South Carolina Church (in reality Clinton’s as much a believer in Christianity as Bill Maher and most other white “progressives” are) highlighted the absurdity and double standards that the Clinton platform is based upon. It’s not about who’s best qualified to be the president, it’s all about the Machiavellian lengths she’ll go to fulfill her bitter-felt entitlement to be president. It’s all about Hillary. When Bob Johnson was called in by the Clinton camp to attack Obama, what misfired political hatchet job, as it turned out not to be a justified attack on Obama but an entertaining Shakespearian travesty with Johnson the star buffoon; Johnson looked like a stooge when he blindly stumbled into and became completely swallowed by the quagmire of thick irony a ruthless Clinton laid out in front of him. Here was Johnson questioning Obama’s “racial authenticity” on behalf of a mean-spirited white woman. Is Obama “black enough”? What’s Johnson’s point of attacking Obama as being “reasonable and likable”? Americans prefer their democrats, especially their black democrats, to be unreasonable and loathsome? What’s that say about Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson? Isn’t this turning on its ear MLK’s dream that Americans, all Americans, were rather judged on the content of their character rather than the color of their skin? Obama’s above the racial Democratic Party shtick of the past. I’m beginning to be worried not for Obama’s campaign but for him personally, it appears that Hillary Clinton would stoop to and is capable of just about anything in her machinations to snatch the Democratic nomination from him. Obama was still an innocent tyke when Bill Clinton wasn’t inhaling pot at Oxford. Clinton’s turning the Democratic Party’s race into a race based not the issues facing this country and one’s ability to lead, but into a race based on sexual and racial entitlement, the antithesis ironically, of what Democrats claim they stand for, a non-racial and non-sexist meritocracy.

  • I DON'T CARE

I'm voting for Edwards. This country will not elect a black man or a woman as president.

  • Obama is Lying (or Mistaken)

Obama's campaign played the race card with this memo:

    And this outburst:

But Barack said that his campaign had nothing to do with it...is that a lie, or did he just not know what his campaign was up to? I don't feel he is the victim here, sorry.

  • Re: Robert Sandy

Robert Sandy: "Politics is a contest ladies and gentlemen, it is a sport--a modern day equivalent to Roman bloodsport--and to survive one must fight."

Politics is a "sport" in the same way that war is a "game."

  • Hillary Clinton: Will prove to be the Democratic Party's Lady MacBeth?

This just a rhetorical question for those more politically astute than I am. Read the play, and then analyze Hillary Clinton's two performances on Sunday.

I'll take a man who own's up to his youthful indiscretions over the wife of a man who put a spliff to his lips and pretended to, but didn't inhale. Who's the authentic contender in this race? Really, when Clinton was pretending to be a pot smoking hipster, Obama was still a toddler. Obama's generation can thank the Clinton's generation for it's glamorization of recreational drug use. The 1960's democrats ought to be ashamed of what they did to our country and particularly our youth vis-a-vis America's dependancy on drugs, be they illicit street or FDA sanctioned and pushed by the AMA.

  • The Press should know.

As soon as Clinton won in New Hampshire, even when she was only the projected winner the Press covering the campaign on television started with "is this because of race?". If this does become a debate about race and gender then the seeds were planted by the Press and nobody else.

Not surprising the Press would go there, it makes for good copy for them. But shame on their journalistic integrity...if they had any to begin with.

  • How rough! Gracious me!

The Obama campaign is wimping out; you just wait for what's in store from the McCain campaign if you think some dumb remarks by the BET billionaire were rough. He admitted drug use; does that make it a deep dark secret now? Get real. There's no politician of any color, religion or creed who wouldn't get this thrown up in his face again and again.

And as to the "fairy tale" speech, I defy anyone who isn't trying to be stupid to see that speech and not conclude that Clinton was speaking entirely about Obama's Iraq record, and not about his campaign in general as implied by the liar Russert and taken up like brainless parrots by certain pundits and political hacks.

What do you make of Krugman today setting out the fact that Obama's program is less progressive than Clinton or Edwards? Is he a rascist Clintonbot stooge too?

The plain fact is that Obama is vulnerable from the left. We've been through seven years of rampant criminality. Will this guy have the stomach to investigate and prosecute those responsible and un-do the damage? I'm starting to fear not.

  • Hillary Clinton, protector of racial authenticity

The Clinton’s were always hard bitten media spinmeisters and the press their puppets, CNN has been called an acronym for the Clinton News Network. Isn’t blaming the press for Hillary Clinton’s cynical playing of the gender and “authentic black” race card shooting the messenger that the Clinton’s set up? The press tried to play the Clintons in New Hampshire and came off second best. If Hillary Clinton is the self procalimed guardian of racial authenticity for the Democratic party in regards to Barack Obama, what's an authentic white person then if there is a converse definition? Whoever said the democratic party hasn’t begun a war with itself ain’t watching all the cable news clips including the foreign news media’s take on the campaigns. Clinton crony Johnson’s insinuations about Barack Obama were shameless and pathetic. Who’d have thought the democratic party was the party where racial correctness mattered? The Hillary wing is fast becoming the John Birch society flip side.
